I run Jaco blues most of the time so I can fine tune my series (WCICS) spec tire setup.
We're saucing with SXT, I sauce full rear and half front usually or, if there's time I let the rears soak a then sauce and wipe full fronts right before the heat (and use less dual rate).
With the narrow track width of the R10 I'm careful with front sauce, the car is very responsive and can become quite difficult to drive if the front tires are too sticky. JMO

You need a spur for a three-hole mounting. Lots of spurs on the market won't fit. The kit spur appears to be an RW Racing spur for an XRAY, so I'm using them. 67 spur (48dp) is in my car usually and lets me gear from about 4.3:1 to 3.4:1.
I'm gearing 17.5 Blinky at anything from 4.5:1 on a very small indoor track to 3.2:1 on a very large outdoor track. This is with a Vampire motor on maximum timing. Gearing depends on track, motor and motor timing, and the best gearing is the one that gives you the best race time.

The ARC spurs are fantastic... I ran a 100 spur to 47 pinion 64pitch. They are machined and super true.

ARC R10 News:
ARC R10 kits and parts will soon be available through A Main Hobbies!!! As well as our own shop site.
Video's of Josh at RC Addict in Taiwan - if you don't look at the Team ARC USA Facebook page (and why don't you?) you might not have seen some video of Josh running at there last week at an event with some international stars. Car looked good on little practice, first time on asphalt, first time on different tires than we use in the US, check them out the links below:

Just got mine put together. What a great kit. Fitment was very good overall (front arm spacers needed a little massaging) and there is no slop. So unlike my TC6. My only gripe really is the silver button head screws have a very shallow hex. I didn't feel like I was getting a good bite with the hex driver and really had to take it easy. I'll probably end up changing those out just to prevent rounding one out.
The "bag of many things" as I have come to call it was a nice touch. My kit had a clip missing from the shock bag. However, I found a nice little bag attached to the shock oil bag that had one of each of the common fasteners and what not in it. Back in business.
I cannot wait to get this thing on the track.
