Sup guys
Looking to get myself a Spec R diff and was just wondering what weight oil do you guys run? No to be confused, I'm not after " what weight oil is best.. " just a poll really because I've never used a gear diff like the Spec R before. I have a SP V3 3.5 with 115 spur and 25 pinion. I don't race it at the moment just mess around with it at car parks and such. I know, absurd but that's just me

Since everyone has been sharing setups, here's the setup ive been using for the past 6 months 
Yes, the car is that good, i never have to change it
I have been playing with 1.5 Deg Blocks FF and FR, feels very direct, easy to drive! I think i will just have to test this at different tracks, but other than that, everything else always remains unchanged.
5000 Gear diff oil in Capricorn is equivalent to about 3000 in Spec-R.
If anybody has any questions, let me know

hey man, i tried to fix the sloppy steering today and i remember your post.
i had some .2mm shims between front arm and c hubs and changed ball ends to losi type r on steering crank.

I know a bunch of people have complained about slop in the steering system. I played with mine yesterday and was able to completely eliminate it with 4 small shims.
The first shim is a 4mm .02 thick on the steering post itself. It eliminates the up and down slop.
The other shims are a 3/16th shim I think. Very thin. If you look at the alum piece that connects the two bellcranks, there is a small lip that goes towards the bearing side. This shim fits around the lip and when bolted on, eliminates the slop there.
I will take some pictures today and post tonight.

I used it only once on the carpet, but honestly I have not found major differences, just a bit "flatter" the front on corner.
