Thanks ! I like the car very much and just ordered the floating servo mount and spur new white axle inserts that eliminate the freeplay. What about the roll centres ? Have you guys fiddle around with it ?

Roll center is something I am going to try again I . Raising the mounts made the.car too edgy before at my track but its worth another shot.

I have an X-ray t3 '12 and all my bodies fit the SpecR 100% not even a mm off!!
I borrowed my buddies t2 009 body a Mazda 6 that also fitted 100%

For any of you guys that have some tamiya parts laying around, ta05 front roll bars fit the f/r of the S1. A few degrees of bending is all that is necessary.

Hi all ....im been using this kit currently...before im running Yokomo BD5 wxi and VBC...honestly iam saying from my experiences running this specr r1 is ALSO the best car and stable. simple setup...13.5t running smooth and STABLE. good handling and fast respond on technical. got experience on VBC....but difficult to find a good setup...but for spec r ???? for me no regret...for the plactic part such arm chub and others may say 15% less stronger then YOKOMO part..

So im about 70% done with my R1 Build and as I was messing with my CVD's I noticed 3 of my 4 are drilled for the use of a set screw to hold the pin and the 4th is not. as I now took a closer look at that one I noticed that, that cvd has MUCH more slop in the joint than the rest. Disassembled the joint to find that all looks fine just tolerances being off. Can anyone aid me in getting a new 50mm cvd?

Hi , I've did a few runs this morning at my local track in Kuala Lumpur. The track condition is bumpy with medium traction. Since the car now has good handling, I've tried to optimize the mid sections of the track . I'm using ORCA MK 2 with Ver. 3 software. and reduce a bit all the settings to suit the 10.5t torqy SP motor and now it works well too in the mid section . The car runs pretty well ! Can't wait to race next month in our ORCA championship. The last round a Spec R driver won in the Blinky 17.5t. I saw the footage and the guy just hold his line till the end, second finisher was fast but did some mistake in field.

Well let me give this a go. I have found that the higher roll center in the rear works well as well as a Lower rc in the front. Keep in mind this depends on what you want to accomplish. My objectives was tire wear and traction levels. The track was high speed and this helped with the digging feel going into the corner. This car runs very similar to my T3' 12 but a lot easier to adjust loosen the screws and slide under the blocks. The xray was a huge ordeal. I have tested this car in mod and 17.5 blinky. This car is awesome!
