Thanks,
Which position do you recommend for a fairly smooth and fast (medium to high speed corners) bitumen circuit, vertical or horizontal? I am running oil dampers with 60weight silicone oil and Tamiya Gold springs. My ride height is 5mm front 5.5mm Rear.

The 04S is a 'Sport Kit' who comes with gear diffs and plastic tub chassis and plastic parts everywhere (shock stays, upper plate and shocks). Better suited to novice drivers who want to have a fully upgradable car rather than starting with complicated chassis and run mad with adjustments.

My '04' is a 'light modded' 04S who kicked some 414 ass on my last TCS race (lightweight carbon tub, carbon upper chasis, alum motor plate and front ball diff).

The rest of the car is practically the same: BB's everywhere.

If you run on some technical tracks, you may get some advantage running the 'toe-in rear' parts from a 414M2 (I don't remember the part no, but if you dive on the thread you may find some posts about).

Uhmmm....

After a detailed view of the detail photos of the 2002 raybrig nsx is very difficult to say this because the car is covered with a pack on the battery slots and other 'detail' pics don't show the differences of the graphite tub or the lightweight graphite tub.

But reading the specs of the car, none showed the use of the lightweight graphite tub, so my bet is the use of the standard one.

When adjusting droop do you guys leave the shocks on or do you have to take them off? And is it possible that the left dogbone is not angled equal to the right, even though the gauges say that its even

hack: I usually remove both anti roll bars as well as the shocks when i'm doing droop adjustments.

If the gauges say they are correct, is it possible why your left and right drive shafts are not of the same same agle, it is possible your front uprights (steering knuckles) are of the same part number. i.e. you are using C2 or C1 for both left and right. Both C1 *and* C2 must be used on a car.

Default shimming arm mounts?

Has anyone tried shimming the front and rear arm mounts like Surikarn does on his 414M2? Can it be done on the 04?

I shim my 04 A-arms to remove sloppyness. I use motor shims (Peak Racing teflon shims).

BTW: What's your througths about the lightweight swing shafts (53505) I currently using dogbones and tink about upgrading the tranny. If yes, what combo of parts I need? (53505+53500+???)

I use the plastic steering assembly. Is worthwhile upgrading to the aluminium ones? wanted to reduce steering slop.

Personally i am not going to change to the Alloy steering arms and I don't think that by using them you will eliminate any slop. Although the alloy is stronger i feel that the slop is due to other loose tolerances like in the ball cups, lower suspension arms and the like. The alloy does look cool though but if you are on a diet remember they weigh substantially more.

Corse -- Good suggestion on taking slop out of the A arms. I was talking about the arm mounts themselves for adjusting kick up and anti-squat.

I have the blue aluminum universals (swing shafts) and like them -- anything to reduce drivetrain rotating mass. They seem to hold up better than the Associated ones for the TC3. I also use the blue aluminum steering. I was able to buy the entire swing shaft assembly together. Don't know part numbers

I think he's doing this to change rollcenter. The 414m2 doesn't have enough. Raising the front and rear arm mounts will increase the rollcenter and help make the car corner flatter. Unless your speaking of slop in the arm it self???
