What tool and bit is everyone using to make the Trinity IP Lipo 3800 pack fit in the Losi steel tray? Where on the tray and how much do I need to grind off?

Whip out the good ole' Dremel tool with either a sanding drum or cut off wheel and grind the left and right inside edges of the tray. You don't have to take off much. Just enough to let the pack sit down in the tray.

I know is it generally recommended to start at a 3.5 FDR on those motors. You can go to gearchart.com and figure you what you need for the spurs available to you.

Looking to get back into the hobby after a 2 year break, I’m considering this car and aTC5R. My plans are to run 13.5, lipo, rubber tires, on carpet. I’m really looking to get a car that I don’t have to spend to much money on to be competitive. What are your thoughts???
