The kits are expected in the states by the end of the month. They will be coming in several shipments. If you really want one, call Michael at TOP USA and reserve one. I believe that the first batch is already spoken for, but it shouldn't be too long. You gotta do what you gotta do, but I would save yourself the money and wait for the Photon kits to arrive.

I've been getting several PMs about what to buy with the kit, so I figured I'd post it up on the thread. None of these are required, but some are very good things to pick up with your original purchase.
1. Kimbrough servo saver (definite must)
2. Aluminum bell crank (King Headz). I've only broken 1 but many people do have issues with them. I just recently installed one for security.
3. Axle pin covers. Not required, but they do free up the axles because they remove the set screw from the assembly. They also make maintenance alot easier.
4. Shims for wheelbase and camber adjustments. The kit comes with enough to build the car, but it doesn't include a variety for making adjustments.
5. Springs. Kit comes with 344/306. For rubber tire on carpet, you will want the 393, 367, and 289 springs. For asphalt, you will want the 324 and 289. I would also recommend an extra set of the 306. I don't run foam anymore, so I won't comment on spring suggestions.
Any other questions, please feel free to PM me or post it up. If anyone has any other recommendations, LMK and I can add them to my post.

I got a use kit with a lot of spares recently but there are a few things extra I’m wondering if I need for spares:
1. 3 x 23 and 3 x 51 hinge pins?
2. 1.25 mm Camber links plates? (rubber on carpet) Do I need them?
3. 30 or 40 damper 0-rings for the shocks
4. Universals, which version, alum or steel. 43 or 44.5mm? Bone or axle shaft is more durable?
5. Alum steering blocks…are they pretty strong?
6. alum lipo battery mount x 2….better than the plastic one?
7. which foam bumper (foam or rubber one) part number is the hard one?
8. Is there much difference between the regular or the low friction belts?
9. Anything else I need?
Comments or information on:
1. I only have for springs gamma 289, 306 x 2, 324, 334, and 344. I’m running rubber tires on medium grip carpet, which shock piston should I use (size of hole and how many) and what oil would I use If I only got the springs?
2. What’s the hype with the gear diff? What’s it suppose to do theoretically?
3. What is your setup sheet please?

Just installed the gear diff in my Photon (Front and rear)
They feel pretty smooth in the car, but before installation i was worried about the notching.
Nice unit! Cant wait to try them out.
What sort of life span should i expect with a 10.5 and Dynamic timing?

Had ago today with the gear diffs fitted in the front and rear in 17.5t and is is really not working. Don't buy any of it. Don't believe the hype. Its a waste of money. Specially the guys in Sydney that will be running the 3rd round club challenge next month. Please don't bother

I just replaced mine and the stock black belts (worn in) are more flexible than a new set of white belts. Time will tell which is more flexible.

They launch very hard because of the lack of slip that you get from a ball diff. Still testing the gear diff in front instead of a spool in order to get back some corner entry steering without losing the pull out of the corner.
3. What is your setup sheet please? For carpet, I would start with Larry Fairtrace's setup. I'll see if I can find it in the forum. I only made a few changes to his baseline and my car was awesome on the rug. Page 164. Post 2448. Give it a shot.

The problem I have with the Aluminum steering blocks is the rear hole in them for the steering link is in a different spot than the stock ones and Schreff and I always use the rear hole in the plastic blocks on rubber tires. So you have to watch out for that. Every setup I have ever posted uses this rear hole on the stock blocks, the aluminum one changes the ackerman a lot.
