I can't take credit. This was a club event, dreamed up by our prez. Really fun day, with so many happy kids!

I wasn't able to race the TCS Nationals this past weekend, but the "guys" kept me up to date on the results. The Mini Mafia took 9 of the 10 spots in the A Main. Pretty good showing in my opinion.

It looks like Orlando Sherman had the fastest car, but the worst luck. His was a M05v2 and Jason Smith won the first A with an old 05. I believe the rest of the guys were running the 03. A little short on details cause i wasn't there and the info I have is from a few telephone conversations.

However, there was enough info to lead me to these conclusions. It looks like the M05v2 has enough to have more potential than the M03. The 03 may, and I repeat, may have been developed as far as it can go. As soon as I can return to the track, I'll have to see if the v2 is worth it in my hands.

some of the worst luck in TCS history.. hahahaha

But it was a fun time as usual. car was AWESOME!! We all missed you there grandpa, please return soon.

Im a bit stubborn. I set out on a mission to get an M05 'FAST' without glueing the sidewalls on the squishy Tamiya Tires.. I can honestly say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

I remember just at the begining of the season everyone was laughing at me when I told them what I was going to do.

...and for my next trick.

'Was bummed for you as soon as I heard the 'zzzzzz' of the motor while up on the drivers stand.

So, no glued side walls this past weekend?

No glued Sidewalls for the past 6month or so.

Last time I glued was at Regionals when Brown should have won. And even then I wasn't glueing the Sidewalls. Had a different glue technique at that time. And an entirely different setup.

Nice! I have a 5 coming my way, I hear the no glue may not be possible on an M03. We'll see...

When I first tried it on my M05 it traction rolled. I think you can get it to work on a M03.

Maybe, if I stumble across a correct setup. We Mini guys are too secretive about most stuff.

This I know. Cause my car was NOT the fastest in a straight line like some of the others out out there. Haha

Last year I ran S-grips without glue on my 03 (Not because I wanted to be different, but because I didn't know any better, lol), it worked... not exactly the fastest car, but at the same time I was just starting to get a baseline and switched to glue as I went along. Never did fully explore a setup for it.
(BTW this was not at Tamiya, not sure what the results would be there...)
