Only run M06 a few times but I like M05 better, why ,
being front wheel drive some times you get taped on the rear on in field,
with front wheel drive you just keep your finger on the throttle and...

I only run short wheel base, but like Paul I only run on carpet.
In UK were we run, are only allowed to run seal can brush 20T limit motors.
I find M05pro SWB easy to drive and handles really...

run lock nut on motor side

I think it helps if you run the screw head on the right side so lock nut is on the left (motor side),
that way less likely to loosen because rotation will tend to tighten when driving forward. ...

Sorry, mini racing is still new to me but would you have the part number for TRF screw, nut and thrust bearing, also for spare 3-racing drive blades which go on drive shafts.

Where I race in UK have now allowed ball diff’s ,

I run colt new beetle body; it’s low and light and was really surprised how strong it is.
I race with Mardaves a lot of the time, Which are fast and strong,

I tried other thick grease types but with this one is really sticky and doesn’t go too thin when it warms up,
used to run it in 1/5 marder rear diff years ago.

I have run touring cars for years when I started racing minis ran with a ball diff but didn’t like the feel,
had to tighten the screw right down to stop the wheel that lifted in...

+1, I know what you mean, have two Touring cars, X-ray 09 & T3.
But since racing Tam Minis haven’t even looked at them in over 3 months. Having too much fun with my Mini :).

Diff grease

We use it in 1/5 diffs it helps stop the wheel that lifts spin so much when you go in to a corners, so you don’t lose too much drive.
Also because the diff gears are not spinning so much it helps...

Tried a ball diff but prefer the Tam gear diff that comes with M05 kit, pack it with FG diff grease.
Took it out to see how its wearing and it is still like new.
FG diff grease is very sticky and...

A question on M05 weight, race only on carpet in UK. Only allowed to run silver can or Tamiya sport tune motors, What weight are most people running with shell ? think mine might be a bit too heavy...
