The FG you get for this price is no better, its a belt drive 4WD thats mainly plastic, and runs on 6S which is a bit underpowered for the car weight.
If you want the full alloy version its 2WD and 2,500 GBP.
Don't think i'm knocking FG, i've got an old FG EVO alloy and its a very nice but different animal.

I like the 6IX, its a great car with a nice power unit, and it handles really well.
Once its converted for FG tyres its cheap to run too.

Eventually some alloy upgrades will start coming out, and we can beef it up some more!
I have no regrets in buying it.
Member on another forum recently bought an FG instead of the Losi. To his surprise came with an 8s system. Had I known maybe.
All I want are tires. Give me 10-15 runs. Might be able to live with that. Until then any other changes are kinda useless if tires where out so fast.

Cool, it needs an 8s for the extra weight, haven't seen the 8S listed?
I know they do an 8S upgrade ESC though for a stupid fee.
Its a rebranded SKYRC Toro Beast 200amp.

Just checking in.... RC-Hornet is still working on the revised GRP wheel adapters. If those looking to add these to your R8 feel free to send them an e-mail as well...The more people looking to upgrade their losi wheels and tires the faster the new adapters will get produced.

Thanks!

The first kit was just
4x FG Squares
4x 20mm hex head M4 screws
4x M4 penny washers
4x Plastic spacer

What are the new adapters supposed to be like?

My FG squares are working fine so far

I'm following CudaCharger on these. He's been in contact with the guys making them. And right now I'm ok waiting. Replacement tires have done better. I'm staying on a smooth surface for runs lately.
Plus with school back in the good parking lots are I use till 9-10pm. Even on the weekend.

My understanding from RC-hornet is the new adapters will incorporate the drive tru Losi pin (Yellow arrow) and have a larger retaining built-in washer up against the hub that's built directly into the adapter. Also the revised units will be sized so no trimming in these marked area's...the front bumper will need minor filing in the (2) marked locations.

Getting parts across the water to the U.K always gets expensive.
But will keep checking to see what they come up with?

I have it torn down for mods and a diff motor & esc.. Stay tuned!!!

Update the other day from RC-Hornet wheel adapters....sometime in December. Looks as jeff0077 has the inside track on the same package already.

Hi the new adapter is prefect, this model use the original losi pin to lock the adapter and also is a little wider, so not more problems touching turnbuckles. Right now its just time I believe will be available in December, Thank you so much.

Default New GRP wheels and adaptors - plus trimming

Chaps.

Got my wheel adaptors today and new GRP wheels. Put on and fit good. However the front wheels rub against the front splitter and bottom half of body shell and they are also VERY VERY close to turn buckles. Any ideas if this needs a trim and anyone trimmed yet.

Oh and what do you think of my motor !!!!! Im happy so far.

Anyone got a Spectrum DX4c? If so what setting have you dialled in. Any advice on number setting would be great.

Cheers
