Losi 1/6th Audi R8 Supercar Development 6IX Platform
So Losi has taken a step into the on-road electric field. I wonder if this will make or break them. My only gripe is the price tag along with the massive amount of plastic chassis parts :/ .. I know they probably wanted to leave room for upgrades and save weight, but that's practically 95% plastic which is bad in my opinion because it will break after one crash against a curb.

Looks to be close to the DBXL in terms of width and length. It looks very cool, drifting around, and I would be lying if I said I didn't want one.

And the $1200 price tag, not including batteries.

Jury is still out on this. It could end up going the way of the Traxxas XO-1 where the hype is good but after practical application is administered (ie: in the hands of averages racers), might not live up to the hype. Notice how the XO-1 has quietly been pushed to an after-thought and the pricing has been cut almost in half??

D) it didn't handle too well at high speeds (see some of the Youtube XO-1 crash videos), E) because of the bad handling, you could not really race it on a road course, F) couldn't really use any other brand of better tires on the car because they sized the tire/hub slightly different from the GT tires. We could go on for a while on this topic.......

New unboxing pics. No other holes for shock adjustments? Might just stick with my GTP2E for parking lot racing/speed runs until I see the verdict on this one...

I have one on order. When I first saw it I didn't think XO-1, other then price. Thought more of an 1/8 road car on steroids.
I have the XO-1 and 1/8 Kyosho and Serpent. XO-1 drives like neither of them. Maybe it's the lack of tire options.
Only real concern with this is tires. How long will they last.

This new Losi car may turn out to be okay, but for the same price, you can get this:

Both look like great options. You just made my decision even harder.
Can you provide more details on the electronics? I got tidbits of information looking around the website. I'm guessing FG will include a basic Airtronics Tx/Rx, a Hitec HS-805MG servo. No specs or brand on the 150A ESC/motor, and no mention if it'll be sensored.

Ah ok, for some reason the battery trays throw me off and I'm imagining it like the Yeti XL with a full plastic chassis. Either way, it's the price of a 5th scale and requires more space than the typical 8th. The cool factor is there but I'm still not sure. Maybe a roller version would be cool, like $700-800 for a clear body and tires.
