setup for low grip temporary track?
Hi all,
I searched this thread and found some bits and pieces but I'll ask here for the latest.
I run a G4S on a tight temporary parking lot track each week. What would be a good setup for this application?
Track is small and tight, no track grip enhancer used except blowing track clean before racing. Racing is 2 x 5 minutes each night so tire wear is low.
Wanting to know best ackerman, tire diameter split, track and wheelbase, caster, springs, shock oil, pretty much everything.
Any help appreciated

Yes it is, I believe part # 1205. Just got my new G4+ a couple months ago, # 667 of 999. The only issue I had with the engine was that there is no starting point for this motor as far as settings and break in period. I had the previous STS on the Mongoose and had to count turns on settings to get a starting point just to make it lug down my driveway. Now its running great after break in.
Here's my mongoose in the sportsman class against 2 X-Rays last year.

Good luck with the G4 II, it looks like a nice car. Hope it runs as good as it looks.
Does the G4II have the same diffs or smaller ones compared to the G4S ???
said to be available in the end of this month.

Interesting. I don't like the fact that the car doesn't share much (if at all) with the existing G4 platform (I bought a G4RS less than a year ago ), but things change I suppose.
Do you guys think TM will be campaigning this car at the worlds this year? Last year I think Dario was using a G4+ whereas Barry used a G4RS.

Had a season opener in my area yesterday. I pulled out my G4RS from storage, dusted it off, ran it and made it to 5th in A-main. No problem whatsoever and the car handled beautifully .
I'd still like a bit more punch coming out of corners though; Would a stiffer clutch spring help? I'm still on the stock one.
