So....I finally got to race my G4 for the first time. What a great car!!! Using the box stock set up with only light changes to the droop I won all three qualifiers and finished 3rd in the A main. Sadly the A main was mine for the taking but with only 40 seconds to go & a 2 lap lead on the pack that wimpy little 800mah battery pack gave up the ghost and relegated me to 3rd. All in all I walked away very happy with my new ride.

Thats good to hear
With teh 800/900 packs that come with the car id suggest putting it on charge in between heats or after every second heat.
Alternative is to shop around the ectronics stores for the largest capacity AAA cells you can get and make a new pack. These days you can get 1000mah and even the new 1100mah AAA cells.

But rear grip did not lose..

when i turn max steering and full Thorttle..

so i changed front 37 rear 40.... then.. understeer was solved.

i learn tire setup is very important and tire effect is big!!!
Every day you learn something,

G4S like to use harder foam on the rear!!! this will also make your wear rate more stable.

Gansei you are learning fast

When I use the front spool, the car is very stable and doesn't jerk around. The car has a harder time during initial turn in, but on-power is very good. When I put the same shore for front and rear, it is easier to turn and tire wear is pretty identical.

What type of track are you running on? Smooth w/high traction? Any traction compounds?

i know that if rear diff harder.. then pulling capacity(Traction Power) is good

in corner-out(on-throttle)..

and i am curious that front diff harder.. Traction Power is good as like rear diff?

But i have seen the diff setup article (maybe it is extracted from serpent manual)

i am curious about this words

"The higher the traction, the lighter the diff oil up front, and the heavier at the rear."

can i set front 10000, rear 50000 in the highest traction.?

are there condition that front diff must be harder than rear diff?

Also make sure the servo end points are set very carefully to not stall the servo. I use my charger's motor run function as a DC source to see the amp draw, and when my steering or throttle is set to high it pulls 2+ amps and when it's set right it peaks at 0.8 A.

That is not always true, I have been in some very high traction situations and 50k in the back was too much, the car would loop on corner exit. Switch to 30K and it was hooked up. I heard parking lot traction was hard to find so I went to 10K and it was hooked up on low traction.

No. It means Gansei,
High traction track....front diff oil is lighter. Maybe 40 or 50,000WT and rear diff is heavy. Maybe 30 to 50,000WT.

Low traction conditions. Front diff is heavy. Maybe 100,000WT or solid spool.
Rear oil is light. Maybe 5 or 10,000WT oil.

I hope this makes sence.

Hi Ben.
You have a pm.
I'm at work so not sure how long I'm going to be on here?

You getting use to the car?
I was thinking of your set up when I went to St. Louis this last weekend for testing.
The track there is very newly surfaced but very slick. Very little traction. Ended up a very similar set up to your Mentor set up. Thanks for the heads up.
I'll have to look see if my charger has that function for looking at amp draw.........very handy
