I`ve heard a few owners of the 710`s saying they tend to break certain parts quite easily.
One thing i can say about the RRR is that its durability is very good.
Judging by some of the results in the major races here over the past few months, its really the MTX3, RRR, and 710 that are dominating. I`d be getting the car which has the easiest parts availability in your country.

but for me the RRR is the best of all those cars and the best car this time...

Leaking where? Check for worn out parts and replace them is what I'd do.

Hi all,

I have been running an HPI rs4 for about 8 months, and now its time to change! I was about to buy an r40 and after reading all the possible threads I could find I opted for the RRR/nsr12s3 .

However I have obviously far far exceded my budget now with these new toys and still need a radio-trans and servos. My LHS is offering me a Sanwa mx 3s and 2 vr servos for an interesting price, have any of you used these items on your RRR (or if at all)?

My shocks leaked too. From the top. I put the softer clear bladders, and they seem better.

I`d say it would be the HC diaphragms that have worn, arent sitting properly, or possibly have slight splits/tears in them.
There was another post I`d read somewhere (not sure if it was here) where people were having issues with the shocks leaking.
When winding down the shock cap, make sure that it isnt too tight, as this may also tend to damage the diaphragm.

I use Mugen shocks on one of my RRR's. They will never leak.

Yer the mugen shocks are great but i found that the shafts brake very easy just one tape from behind and they will snap. That was the case with my MTX3

Someone asked about the RRR in a bumpy track. Well I raced at one today and the RRR was AWESOME. The track was so bumpy I started my main with 6mm/7mm ride height and still scratched my chassis. I was probably the least skilled driver in the A main (qualified 9th, and I think almost everyone else has some sorts of sponsorship) but I had the 3rd or 4th fastest lap in the group, only 0.03 sec behind the fastest guy. I ended up 6th but probably could've done better if my RL wheel did not fall off (my own fault not tighting it before the race). This car worked great and no wonder it did so well at the Worlds in Brazil which was another very bumpy track.

i agree with you... our local track is also bumpy. it has some uneven portions yet the rrr still performs... i like the handling of the car already even if i only had a few runs. the car will be put to the final test this coming april 16 which is a big race....
