Wimp??????? hehehehe

Are trying to bully me into the race

It wont work, but I can enter my sedan in the masters class if they let me, that way I get more track time. Convenient how you old timers get more track time.

Look forward to hanging out this weekend and seeing everyone. Now I just need to get my stuff ready. Still sitting on my table not touched from the last race.

We replace it with this http://kamikazercracing.com/proddeta...prod=SER902157
it is stronger and positioned better, it will keep your fingers away from the engine cooling head.

Capricorn Has a new one and it was a running change so it should have the same part number. It is black now and not silver. That is how you would know you got the newest one.

Default Serpent Clutch on Lab C801

Hello, I was told that the complete serpent clutch set fitted with Capricorn clutch bell (the one that came with the car) works on the lab c801. Has anyone tried before? I have a number of spare serpent clutch that I would like to utilize.

Default 1st Run

Hey all,

run the Lab 801 the first time with default setup and installed the full flex system front and rear.

Tyres i ran Contact 37 rear and 35 fronts

Problems

Clutch slipping as hell had to remove around 0.40 of shims from the back and i am still not happy any recommnendations? Spring tension is as manual says. Clutch looks like melted a bit yep found some red dust on the inside

I have no Off power steering, tried laying down the front shocks one more hole but its way to off.

2nd speed had some issues but it was mainly oil coming out of the bearings.

Acceleration looks a bit strange on this car, feels slower than my Evolva and off power the Evolva was way better. i know its setup but i thought it was going to feel quicker.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Default Clutch

The earlier kits came with a super heavy spring the fits very snug in the cup in the clutch shoe. I ran this spring and had dusting until I installed 3/3 set screws in the flyweights then dusting stopped. The tension of the spring was flush with the clutch nut to start with a .6 gap

Capricorn now has a shorter spring less heavy that makes the car super smooth I run this spring with a .6-.7 gap starting at 1mm preload on the clutchnut ... Still with the screws in the flyweights

the stock gearing is funky. You may want to put a 19 pinion with stock spurs
as the 20 gives too numerically low of a gearing compaired to kyosho / mugen

Second gear ratios depend on track also.

As for set up dj set up is in this thread after page 13 somewhere.
