You have to shave 1-2mm off of the rear of the tire. I do it on the truer. KEEP YOUR FINGERS OUT OF IT! I did a one run test with these tires and they were consistantly .5 to 1 second slower. They durometer higher than what is listed on the box as well. I would sugguest anything from Enneti (SRC, Italian Exeed etc...), Kawahara or Contact. The Matrix stuff is a good bang for the buck. I have not ran there new carbon stuff..

I can imagine that on some tracks there is a slower and a faster tire but not that much.

the grp rear are 3mm wider then 95% of the other brands 3mm overall and 1.5 on the offset if u choose to run them like drew said shave off 1-2mm on the inside but your rear track with will be 3mm overall wider if u run 263 it will become 266 now we done alot of testing and if u need more rear grip it is a good choice to slap them on but set your rear with normal tires to 263 then just shave the grp and slap them on dont change the settings it works best that way.... but i just read they might b out of bizz so i guess if it true u need another brand i have tried 10 diff brands on the 5 the best i have felt is with xceeds light and reg,,,

Has anyone had any problem with GRP rear tyre touching rear body post?
Instruction says 2.6mm gap on pivot but i wide it out till 5mm but still touching.
Thanks[/QUOTE]
Are you using the 63mm rear tyre. If so that may be why they are touching on the inside of the wheel. I know that if you used them on the MRX4X you had to modify the car for them to fit and assume that will be the same with the MRX5. If you dont want to modify the car you will need to change back to the standard 60mm width rear tyre that will fit perfectly.
Regards Andrew

As far as I know, GRP is still in business. You may have been told that because a lot of distributors don't seem to like dealing with them.
The tires work very well. On the 4 all I did was move one of the scrub spacers on the rear axles from the inside to the outside of the axle. Not sure about the 5.
