They are made of a harder material. This will offer less wear and longer life as well as a less braking power. Less braking power could come in real handy on some track layouts...

Compared to the old ones they do, a noticeable difference, had to readjust braking quite a bit.

Anybody knows the effects of running the different size side pulley?
Example smaller vs bigger pulley

If you put on a pulley with more teeth it will put more drive to the front wheels. So then you can either run larger rear tyres or smaller front tyres to get the same fell to the car. A way to use up tyres without truing them, if they falll into the right size range. I havent tried it on the new car. Most people stick to the factory standard setting.
There used to be a gear ration table on the Mugen website but it only covers the 1 pulley now. Have you looked in the instructions as it may still have both tables in the kit. If not let me know and I will scan the old one I have at home and post it on here for you to see.

You are talking about the 28/29t pulley? Less teeth will put more drive to the frontwheels.

So what does it do when you have more drive on the front?

More power driving out using the fronts? And vice versa using the 29t?
What does it do to the wear rate of the tires?

Sorry for the noobish questions..
