Default serpent

I am a newbie, i suppose the questions i am asking will have being repeated many times. jus want to check, how can i improve the turning when on throttle, at the moment my car turns well with a little throttle, but when i push harder it goes wide. can i ask all the gurus here, how to reduce the angle when i throttle harder???? i also have the DLS with me now, but hesitate to put it on as i am afraid that i will lose some steering.

At the moment i am still using the original front blue spring and the diff is 150k front and 80k behind. red springs for rear. pls advise. thankyou so much.

most easy way: fit the rear shocks more upright and see if any better...try 2-3holes higher.

if you're at the top couples of holes already, try 1 grade harder spring then.

I mount mine under the fuel tank, the wiring and electronics look cleaner this way.

Some mount it on the top deck, as it makes removing the fuel tank (for cleaning) easier.

The choice is yours.

Hello guys.

Does anyone have a setup, or at least tips, for a 733 with an STS .12 and rubber tires? (I believe they are 26mm?)
It's for competition, we will have this category here now. Rubber tires and same engine for everyone. My brother in law is strungling to set the serpent right.

Here is our track

Thankx !

You'll wanna run less camber so that u have more contact patch of the rubber tires.

hi guys, one question

do you use a regulator with a life battery? i know most dont use
but i have mixed opinions about it. I already have the small xceed
regulator which isnt a problem to be mounted inside the radio box just
to be sure i dont face any probs with the increased voltage of life, but
i have also read here in this thread about regulator overheating problems when
inside the box so i start to reconsider using or not the regulator. Has anyone
had problems by not using a one?

i use the spektrum pro hrs receiver with futaba 9350 & 9452 digital servos and the battery is an IP 1200mah.

I thought a fully charged LIFE is about 6.6 vdc you should not need a regulator with a Life. A fully charged NIMH can reach almost 7vdc. If your running a Lipo(8.4vdc) then I would use a regulator.

You do not need a regulator with Life. I have been using Life batteries in my KO and Futaba gear, never been an issue.

LiPo batteries go to 7.4v, Life only go to 6.6v

There is also about a 60g weight saving between a NiMh vs Life

You'll want to look into the drive ratio. Like all touring cars, the 733 is designed to be run with a split (front tires smaller than rear tires). When running rubber, the front tires will be the same diameter as the rear tires. You will have to play with the pulleys to get a good, close to 1:1 drive ratio.
