Me-student: I talked to you at the roar regional last Saturday. I'm a friend of Jose. I bought a centax from you about 2 weeks ago! My name is Carl.

ME: Yes the serpent tank was the first thing I done to the car back in Dec when I found out the AE tank was not suited for the car.I've tried just about everything I no to do! I have balanced everything used both AE exhaust systems, different chassis. I thought the car had a vib. prob., later to learn it has to be a thermal issue! [crankshaft overheating]. It has never performed to me the way it should. I worked in the fuel delivery area for months and now its the best its ever been, moving the exhaust around and out the rear does make a diff, now like side exhaust systems you can at least choose certain types of pipes to a degree. WHy some rear exhaust cars have issues and others don't is be on me! Most guys with side exhaust engines have no problems. The good power range with the car and the RTU really don't come in, to around the 280 degree range. If any of you guys that are having problems still, 2 good suggestions: if using rossi based engines go to the z/project or alien racing 21/12 head conversion and move the fuel tank as far away as possible from the heat, and just for the hell of it change to the rear exhaust deal of some sort. all you'll have to do is bend the stock AE header alittle, so what are we talking about$10 if you don't like it? Today I changed heads went to the mip stinger rear exhaust pipe, which I can use since I mostly club race, not roar inforced! Head temp never got above 240 on 30%, and I was able lean on the RTU little more, it makes unreal botom end and midrange power now! Enough power to rip 2 pinions out of the car with only a 4 tooth spread between gears!
Dennis: Hope all is well! Yes your right the pinion are a weak link with the Richey power! I did'nt get the engine in time for the regionals but it was well worth it!!!! Thanks again! BB

Default There it goes!

Ok guys,

here is the car with all the hop ups and mods we are always talking about.

Check it out:

The Ultimate NTC3

Maybe I shouldn't sell it, but 1/8th scale is too tempting...

Then 3-belt=
.98 * .98 * .98 * .98 * .98 *.98 *.98 = .868

Shaft 4WD=
.98 *.98 *.98 = .941

That's a 7.3% power edge; that's the difference between 1.25 HP and 1.35 HP

That's not to say an MTX can't be competitive, set fast laps, win races etc. There's no doubt though that unless the laws of physics are different where you live that the NTC3 would always be the fastest in a straight line.

okay first off i want you to know i think all the current cars are very equal on the track...... especially at the national level.....

now were the ntc3 looses all its free moving advantages is the fact that it changes the direction of rotation, the ring and pinion are the huge friction points in the car.. and it does it twicem front and rear....... that is were the belt accels as as soon as the car is in motion there is very very little friction created to accelerate, otherwise you would have a heat issue...( friction=heat) that is why on the big tracks, ie cinncinatti, the ring and pinion melt... yes melt from the friction.. fix to lube, lube costes free rll.. there ya go, this is a fact , not a bash..... i think the car is great but it is in no way superior just different set of problems with a very similar end result....... the car rolls great and are realy good out of the box.. and very very competitive.. and no matter which car wins at the worlds they are all going to be very good cars and all going to come away with areas that can be improved.....
