Good idea Gregory,i'm thinking about upgrade my RRR and just wait for the R4 evo.I too was thinking about doing some spacers in nylon so i can fit R4 diff at front those had to be 10x12x4 if I want to use the RRR big bearing or 15x18x4 if I want to use BRG014 bearings right?I'm eager to know if the R4 main shaft is compatible with the RRR.
Oh about my testing,I could notice the front hooks a little better with the front upper bumper assembly unscrewed from the bulkhead.

Thank you Gregory and B.C.
All RRR evo2 including Shimo Edition use 0 offset wheels all around, the evo1 and RRR use 0 front 2 back stock.

Now all I have to do is wait till my country gets the spares available and I'm away laughing.
there is room for this little flange?i don;t think so.if you find that you can put it in just glue them in.

The flange is only slight, but the inserts sit very very tight in the bearings, there is room on the diff side of the bearing just. But now with how tight they sit inside the bearing I'll be flipping them round to be facing to the outside. I seated the bearings in the tension rings last night and the flange was flush with that so there is no dramas either way, the flange was only about .5mm and tbh the tolerences I found weren't too stringent there is room either way round.

Should have the spacers in a couple of days!About the main shaft the R4 one looks like the Evo shaft with a cut for the set screw of the outer pulley holder,I start to believe it's almost the same as the RRR.If without these mods the RRR was collecting fastest laps at races I just can dream what's coming

The only thing to check is the length of the shaft, from what I have checked comparing the two manuals, rrr, R4 to do the conversion you would need the entire assembly, including 1st/2nd spurs and 2 speed clutch assembly as well as all pulleys and brake holder just to be sure, the diameter is the same but the 2spd attactches via a pin not a grubscrew and its the opposite for the side pully, not a biggie, I have asked on the R4 thread for shaftlength so will post here with results.

B.C.
Changing to the new style 2 speed and pulleys is a must actually. So if everything still lines up as the old style there's a big improvement using all the new bits.

Not sure if this is any help but I pretty much copied the settings from the setup sheet that came with the manual, run 16/21 and 61/55 gears, front diff 60K rear diff 30K

I run lipo and HV servos, Ti pillow balls, Ti screws, transponder, DNA body, tires 37/40 front/rear 62mm/64mm dia, RX box/cover
weight ~1640gr

My 1st race this season on the coming Sunday ;-)

if I were you start with the stock set up, except run rear camber 4.5 degree 3.5 rear toe in 35's all the way around 2degree camber front if you have a solid for the front try it

When I need a setup that isn't around this thread I go to http://kyosho.com/eng/support/settin...one_index.html
At Kyosho America there isn't any setups for onroad.
