I like what everybody ahs been posting lately!
Looks like a very promising future for this class in the near future, another world gt race, new serpent cobra gt car, new classes etc etc. very cool! Wish I could make it down to Puerto Rico! hey is just December.... maybe just maybe...

I am the one in 3rd I was using a Protoform PF8-GT. Bassman got 1st and TQ I believe his body is a BYSM Pontiac LM for the Kyosho GT1. I am not sure about 2nd but I think it's the BYSM GT1. Those BYSM bodies are very cool they are much stronger and thicker then mine and just as lite. But that's probably why they cost what they do.
Check out www.igthobbies.com they carry every body and part you will need for any GT.

Yeah, our GT Worlds in Puerto Rico are gonna be rockin!
Great group of friendly racers, with a fast, technical and big track in the tropics. Plenty of fun on and off the track. Hope you can make this one!

The race will be held from March 21-25 at Barceloneta RC Speedway in Puerto Rico. The track is located about 45 minutes from the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. The best hotels are about 25minutes from the track, look for hotels in the Dorado but you can stay in San Juan or in Isla Verde where there are many more hotels. There are a few Paradores (small hotels) near the track but they are not the cheapest hotels. As far as Nitro Fuel there are many brands available from Byron's, Sidewinder, O'Donnell, Power Master (VP Fuels), among others.
The track has 2 long straights, the smaller one is 175ft long and the longest one is about 225ft. The total racing line is from 950-1000ft total. The weather in march is very good with an 85F average. With the Humidity it can feel in the 90's. I hope this helps you guys out a little. I will try to answer any questions as soon as possible.

The spec, open and electrics will use the same basic rules as the previous world championships (I will post them as soon as possible). The new class is the GT Outlaw where there are no limits on chassis, weight, etc. In the Outlaw class one can use belt driven cars like the European Rally Game Cars or one can use the shaft driven cars. The race fee and schedule are being work on right now but again as soon as I have something I will let you guys know.

If you don't drive a good line around this track, the local competition alone will eat you for lunch.
You had better bring your A-game to this track, you will definitely need it.

Fast, fun and way too cool, the local GT racers have it real good in Puerto Rico. Looking forward to more serious racing fun in 2012 for sure!

Those bodies are nice and all but IMHO the IGT class should stick to realistic looking bodies or real car bodies
This is the thing that separates us from the 1/8 cars (plus thier speed and handling)
To make the IGT a crowd pleaser and friendly class we should have realistic bodies that the audience can relate to
just my opinion
Once we have more options in bodies there should be more regulations
Protoform might be in so we should have enough realistic bodies to have variety

hey guys, this question has prob been answered somewhere in here but ill be damned if i can find it in this 505 page thread lol.
looking to take my pull start kyosho RTR engine out and do some light racing next year. what are the engines of choice? does it have to be an onroad engine or can a off road buggy be used due to the size of these cars? car is a kyosho gt1... thanks

^ lets say its a 200 limit what motor? im 99% sure any dedicated on road .21 is well above 200....but im not looking to take on the world lol 200 is around my budget anyway so what do u recommend?

Axial, Picco , and Lrp all make very good engines in that price range. They are all .28 size , so they have gobs of torque for these heavy cars. For the $200 price range , try the Picco .28 or Lrp .28. You won't be disappointed.
