Hi guys, its Sam.
As I am the driver of our team car I was told to give a brief report on its first outing at our local track (Dandenong).
It wasn’t until two o’clock in the afternoon when Dad and I had just finished building the V-one RR Evolution, but unfortunately we were to late to compete in the A final. After a few hours of voluntary marshalling and socialising, the time came to give our new car a fang. We threw it on the track with pretty much kit set up, Active 35 fronts and Best 37 rears. The first thing I noticed was its instant lunge into corners and its awesome corner speed, and to top it all of it had unbelievable stability. I greatly prefer it to our previous car (V-one R), and am another well satisfied customer.
cheers Sam.

Agreed.
Given that we were only doing a shakedown run, I didn't sweat it too much. It worked fine, though, but if we were racing for sheep stations, as usual, 35F/35R is what we would have run.

Just trying to work out what tyres to order up on.
I have two sets of Fast 42 front and 40 rear on their way with the Evo.
You going to be racing it at Lilydale this Sunday coming up? I'd like to see how it goes .

Remember that these pad remove a lot of braking force and are specifically designed to stop your oneway equiped car from spinning.

This disc is very thick and has been precision ground so that it is ultra flat. It removes the chaces of your brakes "pulsing" due to a slightly warped disc. Bad pulsing may make the car spin.
I cannot find the item number for the brake pads right now sorry .

Joint development with APP who is the most famous optional parts supplier for real car.
Using same technology for brake pad for real car, brake pad was aleady glued in the factory. Improves brake efficiency.
Uses Ventilated Brake Rotor to aid cooling.

Yes, I don't expect to see much "doggie spitting" with this car. I've taken my usual anti-bone spitting precautions during the build. This includes an alloy travel limiter on the servo saver and grinding of the pin slots on the axles.
I just strapped my AAA pack in to the holder so it is sitting probably 5-9mm higher than it could. I have not put much thought into a better solution yet. The weight reduction is worth it even without the low CG position.
So, if you have any dead servo's lying around, they could be usefull.
Ahhh . . . . sorry, AMG, that was completely uncalled for, wasn't it. My apologies.
Never tried the Square red pads. My advice is to run the precision ground kyosho vented disc and the kyosho red pads. This combo is AWESOME with a oneway diff. It is virtually impossible to make the car spin out from excessive braking, i run the brake rate at 100% and the car slows damn well for a oneway equipped car.
The header issue I mentioned occurs when using the Kawahara height engine mounts. There is basically no way to stop the side belt rubbing the bottom of the header when you use these mounts, tightening up the belt tensioner makes the belt too tight. The only way around this problem that I have found is to use the 25T pulley with the 27T pulley side belt and cranking down on the tensioner all the way (fivestar tensioner). The belt is still a little loose but not too bad.
The fivestar tension is a nice unit but killer expensive around $30+ USD. The 3 racing one is just as nice.

Have you looked at the new rear arms yet?? I am puzzled as to why Kyosho have relieved materials from the arm. Took the shocks and camber link off yesterday and there is NO WAY that the middle inner brace of the arm will go anywhere near the diff outdrive during normal operation.
My thinking is that mayby Kyosho is planning to come up with new rear bulkheads and rear bulkhead caps to enable rear roll centre changes?

I was looking at it this morning and would suggest that Kyosho could lower the diff but they'd probably need to alter the size of that pulley.
I can see their marketing boys loving this. First they change the front end and call it the "Evo", next, they change the rear end and call it the "Evo II"
