As of today the maxx officially has a heart beat. Thursday night i built the shocks and installed the rpm skidplates over top the flm's. Today i installed the shocks, battery tray, did a bolt check then took it on its furst run. Did no t take no time to get the roof of the body scuffed up lol. Also this f650 body is to short so i would not recommend that and i like to keep my bodies low to the chassis so i cut it up pretty good. Here are some pics

Thanks, now i just want to get some pretty normal size wheels and tires for it as well. I will use the trenchers for major bashing. Did your buddy ever post those wheels up for sale

No he hasn't, I think he might be having second thoughts about letting them go. I will let you know if he does though.

yea the tires are definitely big. I plan on getting several sets of wheels and tires to run on various types of terrain. I also like a lower look but i dont want to lower the truck down to where the wheels are over top the body.

Looks awesome man! I did the same thing with my rpm long center skid, then I hit a rock and it caught the front edge... bye bye skid. I got another one and took a heat gun to it and shaped it the match the flm chassis braces and it rocks now using the full length of the long skid plate.

Moondog, what cvd's are you running? I'm using the traxxas cvd's and it doesn't look like there going to work with my tekno carriers. I pulled some stock emaxx shafts out and assembled them in my tekno carriers and the fit perfect, but since you can't remove the stub axle on the traxxas cvd's I don't think I can run the tekno carriers

Ok so today i put the truck through the ringer to try to find out what the faults are going to be. Next weekend quite a few of us have planned a bashing trip to the bmx track so i want to get all the broken stuff out the way now. Needless to say we did run into some problems. Couple easy fixes and one not hard but still a pain. The front diff outdrive cup snapped. When i got the hyper 7 diffs they were brand new completely assembled and looked good and sturdy. Well after taking it apart the cups main shaft are hollow. So i decided to drop in my rcmonster output shafts and now will have the screw on cups where as the ofnas are made into one. Also bent both skids but thats no big deal and one bent flm hinge pin. Oh well it all in good fun anyway

body got a little mangled too

and where the skid pushed the bumper into the body

what kinda mods did you have to do to allow those xxl cvds to work with the tekno carriers?

more pics of that if you will. what drive cups are you using on your diffs?

what kinda performance were you getting?
