hi, baguhan din ako sa rc, just want to share some expensive advice. i say expensive kasi mahal talaga siya, well here's how i started, i got a 2nd hand tao3, tamiya yun. grabe itsura nung nakuha ko parang di rc. i got it for 5k, naghop up ako cguro mga 5k pa ulit, so 10k na yun. i then bought a second hand hpi 8k naman yun. after that i got a 414 (tamiya) for 6k, bale nakaka 24k na ako di ko pa rin nakikita kit na ok sa akin, it was after i got a factory team tc3 nun lang tumino ung takbo ko. pero in between all that spending may mga bats, tires, haaaay dami. ngayon naka losi naman ako, grabe no, dami kong kit na dinaanan.

my point is this, before u go out and buy a kit bakit di ka muna maki try ng kit ng mga racers (or shop owners) then decide. kc pag bumili ka na medyo stuck ka na dun e, so before going out and spending your hard earned money make sure na suited sa u ung kit na kukunin mo.

hope to see u in the tracks.

Default Hi

My first RC was a Tamiya Staidum Blitzer.....got rid of it after a week and bought a RC10GT gas truck......bulletproof and playtime is waaaaaay better than electric.........don't waste your money......get a durable one....expecially you are still a newbie....you don't want to end up buying parts everytime you play with it.....Just my 2 petot.

question time once again:

uhm, i've never used or owned an RC or the radio controller for it, uhh, i'm curious, what happens if i accidently bump another RC or if i accidently stop and block another RC causing them to hit each other, or basta an accidental collision, GUGULPIHIN ba ako?

meron bang uhh, beginners track, cause it would really suck if i hit a car woth 50K+, then the person ask me to pay for it, tas la ako pambayad?

also, how often do collissions occur during normal days with people just practicing with no official race?

ahh...pagmay nabangga ka tawag ka muna ng mmda para ma imbestigahan kung sino may sala..JOKE! pagnabangga ka normal lang yun tsaka di naman masisira ng ganun ganun lang yun rc... kelangan huminto ka sa dulo ng stretch then let the guy hit you from full throttle! dun malamang tatalsik tapos iiyak ka na lang at magdasal na sana walang nasira o nawala lahat naman ng nagRC mababait kasi dun rin naman galing as beginners so dont worry and enjoy the race! bigayan naman sa track yan and theres no such thing as beginners track.. collisions happen most of the time pero oks lang yun just say sorry pwede na!

racing is racing......you break...you buy parts...that's racing

In practice.......be sure to run the right direction.....let the fast cars go by ......an accident will only be a big incident when someone rams their r/c intentionally towards you.......that's a risk you have to take......drive defensively.

Hello!

Baguhan din lang ako sa R/C and I bought a second hand RC10GT. Gas yun. Kasi medyo namamahalan me sa electric coz you have to buy motor... batts... charger... esc... at kung ano ano pa. Sa tingin ko pag electric kasi you have to change batts kapag medyo mahina na sya unlike engines... maintain mo lang and magamit mo na sya ng matagal tagal.

I agree that there's really nothing better than building your first kit. But for me I decided to buy a second hand and I got it for less than 5K (running condition na) and a second hand radio na rin (di ba neptunes ) para at least may mapag praktisan muna and to get to know all the stuffs needed. Naisip ko kasi na kpag bibili me ng bago tapos mababanga and masisira ko rin lang during praktis e bka ngumawa lang me ng sobra. Biruin mo pinaghirapan mong buuin tpos masisira agad... Tulad nung una kong pinatakbo yung R/C ko nabangga ko kaagad at full speed... ayun di ko pa rin magamit uli ngayon kasi naghihintay pa me ng inorder kong parts.. hehehe at least di ganun kabigat sa loob..

I started with a TA03F Pro. Okay naman especially since beginner ako... ang nasira lang siguro na parts eh yung Shock ends kasi kumakalas na dahil maluwag...

Then I got a TRF414. Raced it once then shelved it. I thought it was too complex for my skills. At this point I started summing up my RC expenses na heheheh

Then I sold the 03 and got a TB Evolution1. The car's a big improvement over the 03 but not as bulletproof... dito na ako nagsimulang mamroblema sa kingpin heheheheh...

After that, I got a TB Evolution2. Raced it for a few months while trying to sell the Evo1. Eh may tumawag asking for the Evo2 so I sold the Evo2.

Then I got a very good condition Xray T1. The car was very nice kaya lang walang 1 way. So I traded it off for a BL motor and got an extra new(but incomplete) TA03 DJ!!! hehehhe

So I'm back with the TB-EVO1 and a 03DJ (heavily modified na). I also acquired an MR4TC special para may kasama yung TRF414 sa shelf!!! hehehe.

The TB-EVO and MR4TC-SP is still up for sale Later, baka i-cannibalize ko na lang yung parts ng MR4TC and install it on the 03.

Also, I stopped counting my RC expenses when I reached 50K. Baka kasi sumama na nang husto ang loob ko hehehehhe...

My advice...

Go for the Kit na gustong-gusto mo talaga kahit mahal... If you try to settle for a lesser kit, you'll never be satisfied at mas malaki ang magagastos mo pag nagpalit-palit ka pa ng kit. for my part, I don't regret starting out with Tamiya kasi madalang ka talaga masiraan dito...

........sa r/c do not count the cost......you will get high blood, diabetes, heart attack..lung cancer, athritis, or even herpes...at kung ano ano pang sakit dyan........just enjoy but don't forget your obligations first to your family.

Ever since I started r/c ...if I really list down all my expenses ......I spend almost $10k for everyhting.....some purchases were stupid....alway buying mod parts which doesn't do anyhting. In the long run I got wiser and wiser in my spending and decision making......charge to experience na lang. I had fun doing it.

is it possible to blend/make your own nitro fuel so you don't have to buy?
does anybody do this?
does anyone have instructions on how to do this?
is it cheaper than buying those branded fuel?

you might have the answer to solve our crisis in fuel production! kung sakali murahan mo benta per litro!
