Same as what Josh said above (and I'm no where near as much of a wheel a he is) and that's expo is evil. It's tough to retrain the stock fingers, but in the long run (IMO) its better to train the thumbs, than rely on expo to get you through.

One of the features people rave about on the Orca is how smooth its throttle response is. Do you find yourself adjusting the punch or PWM at all to smooth things out?

ill be doing timezone gp next year and maybe the year after, snowbirds or iic. not gonna spend $1000 just in travel when ill for sure be in one of the bottom heats lol.

one day in the distant future id like to qualify for the worlds.. lofty goals are good to have sometimes.

I had a good time running mod sedan tonight. There might be something to this whole concept that boost makes a mod motor easier to drive.

I ran Andrew Hardman's setup on my Orca with a Reedy 6.5 geared around 8.0. It was actually shockingly easy to drive. In some ways, smoother in the infield than a blinky 13.5.

Have raced 17,5 blinky all winter and have just returned to modified , started with my lrp flow , but what a difference when I got my new Team Orion R10 pro installed in my car , super smooth. Both are high end speedos but whau a speedo.

Lots of good information here, thanks to everybody. Also new to mod. I have two GM Deltas, an 8T and a 6T I understand they are equivalent(ish) to 4.5 and 3.5 respectively.

Anyone have experience as to what the difference in feel might be against the star wind equivalents? I heard power delivery is quite different.

I was amazed at how much easier my mod 12th was to drive as soon as I changed from blinky to a boosted profile. I still need to work more on speedo settings, since I think that my current boost settings only really come into play on the last 10 ft of our straight...right before the wall o' death.

I also finally worked up the courage to adjust d/r on the straight last night. Absolutely terrifying, but oddly satisfying to be able to do it and not destroy anything. It's the little things that count...right?

Well, you're unlikely to need the 6t for a start! The 8t is a little flatter at the bottom end when compared to a 4.5 but fairly similar at the top.
