took a shot on the l/r when i went into a right hand sweeper and tore the screw out of the center....not sure how the 2nd one got broke ...i hadn't hit anything..the handling became very erratic and when i pulled it in the give it a once over i found another plate was broken...only thing i can think of is either i had a screw back out slightly or the plate was defective in some way.

I've broken 2 pods plates. Both broke in the same spot. The left side link ripped out.

Both of mine were fairly light hits. The first plate lasted through some pretty hard shots though. The second plate lasted about 6 easy runs.

I was checking screws after every run and I had a couple on the bottom of the pod coming loose. I figured it was normal break-in and just kept tightening them. Maybe I will use threadlock on them.

Thanks for the info.

How are you guys breaking the rear pod? I have hit some stuff pretty hard in my mod car and I have yet to break any carbon parts.

I've now broken 3 pods. Had one break today in a main. I had another car bounce off a wall into the side of my car and it broke on the impact side. It seems like they are breaking if the impact is a specific angle because the link attachment point is exposed outside of the main chassis plate. It's becoming incredibly frustrating to say the least.

With the side links closer to the center, an impact on the wheel or rear pod will have more leverage or mechanical advantage on the side link ball mounts. This is why the pod is breaking more often than with the wider mounted side links. I just found this out tonight from a driver in our club, I do not have an xti myself.

Thumbs up

I've had issues with two rear pod plates. I think the cause was more self inflicted. You can only hit the boards so many times. Overall I like the car, first CRC I've ever owned.
