Hello All,
Right been running my BD grainger for the past couple of weeks and am loving it really. However im have a few problems with the steering arms stripping out all the time. Ive read somewhere that i can convert to Hpi/HB parts on the front end to bullet proof the car a bit more. Does anyone have all the part numbers i need? (suspose the driveshafts will have to change to) Also what are the ball cups that massami used on his car during the worlds, and which ones did he use on the steering arms to the steering rack as mine keep popping off at silly times.
Sorry for all the questions
Craig

if your striping the steering knuckle ( or as some say the sterring chub...lol or carrier)
im not sure what comes standerd on the grainger edition. if you use the BDM lower king pin ( part # Sd414TA) and the upper king pin from the Bx ( part # bx-414kb) you will have to shave a few threads off the 414kb if your running the steering knuckle in the upper position. you will also need the off road ball cups ( part # zc-207hd), i also recomend switching all of your ball studs to the off road ball studs, this way you can use a 2mm driver to remove the ball studs with our taking the ball cups off.

The grainger uses SD-414 on the steering knuckle (arm, hub etc ) I lost 2 of the bottom kingpins this weekend through them just stripping straight out of the knuckles (pt...sd-415s)
I had a look at using the HB c-hubs and knuckles but the bearings are thicker so would need a longer axle....the other idea is to try a Tc5 knuckle like massami used as i think the bearings are the same.

or if you really want to use the HB knuckles you can use the axles and bearings for the HB/hpi car ( pro4 or cyclone cvd style) and use any of the following axle shafts ( Tir racing, corally/rdx, or rayspeed. that i know of
