I Have been away from racing for some time, and I would like to get back in the game.

I want to upgrade my old SD for this purpose with either the LCG conversion, CGM, or the Rayspeed kit.

Which would work better for carpet on foams?

I would choose the CGM since it has the least flex.

LCG for carpet on foams? No way. That chassis is a noodle.

The lcg is the most advanced of the three, but I have heard that they are notoriously floppy and tweak prone.

I plan to run on a somewhat rough , short carpet track, and Ill probably whack things with the car often.

So its a toss up between the stiffness of the cgm, or the advanced features of the lcg.

looks like it will cost me $120 to go cgm or about $300 for the lcg setup.

Im leaning towards upgrading to cgm, then maybe picking up a used lcg on ebay later on. $300 to update an old car seems a bit steep to me.

whats so advanced about the LCG? all it is a bunch of carbon fiber/aluminum. Way cooler looking than the cgm.

I dont know but i think the LCG is designed/tested more for asphalt?

but among the SD cars the LCG is the latest goodluck with it, and im sure ther is a way for it to work on carpet.

now....

the BD isn't new but it is their latest touring car and it's probably the fastest they have. I have all their TC's and i like the BD the most, very easy to work on and change gearing.

I also hope they release something new SOON. Most people who run their cars are waiting.

i don't see them making a new one soon, or at all. The current car is hard to beat and i don't know what they could change to make it faster as its rediculously fast as is.

They could always keep making the damn bits!

I dialled mine on carpet with rubber tyres with a hard chassis but then smashed it out doors and couldn't get another. BD is too floppy for high grip stuff. got rid of it and run 12th now
