FYI, I've posted some test results from my latest experiment, the TeamGP BMI Asphalt FK05, on the BMI thread here:

Default On the fence

I just sold my JRS-X and now I am ready to pick up a T1FK05 or a RDX and have two questions.

1) How would you compare these cars? From all my research they seem very similiar and have a very proven track record for performance.

2) I am looking to run on carpet, so if I pick up the T1FK05 (PM me if you have one for sale, pls include pics) along with the battery strap and shock set is it necessary to go with the 2mm chasis or will the 2.5mm do a good job for a new on-road racer?

did anyone here try and mount their servo so the front of the servo faces the actuall front of the car instead of the side ? Will this give you more direct steering and is it worth doing?

I saw a guy on the xray forum that did that, I think he did it to give more room for his electronics. Try searching over there.

Do you mind posting a link to the thread that talks about switching the position of the steering servo? I'd like to see if I can do the same too.

Thanks!

Jason

What parts are different from between the 04 and the 05? Chassis, bulkheads, and layshaft, but what about the steering? Can I use the servo saver from the 04?
Thanks
