Hey Franko,

Thanks , could have been better but ended up 6th overall, not too shabby considering there were nearly 50 entrants...
See you at Fastraxx Saturday !

What difference did you notice going to this chassis when compared to the kit one?

Unfortunately I purchased the X-ray '12 just two weekends before the race, then put the extotek kit on just days before the Reedy race, so I didn't have the time to test back to back. I can tell you the exotek is more flexible than the standard chassis since it is both thinner and significantly narrow , which allows you to run lower ride height and not rub. . I ran the optional thinner X-ray 1.6mm top deck to make it even more flexible. I didn't get a chance to explore going back to the standard top deck.

Hey Jake
I ran my XR3 with the stock Exotek top deck and I didn't like the way the car drive.it was a little too much flex for my taste ..So I put on the stock Xray 2011 top deck and it made the car react much quicker into the corner...maybe alittle more steering as well..

Was there any standard T3 2012's in the A main? Is this upgrade worth the $. I like the suspension blocks. They look very solid.

I can't see why it wouldn't but just to verify... Does the xray center servo mount work with the chassis?

Also any issues with the narrow chassis and getting L/R balance? I generally have to move my electronics far to the outside edge to get my cars to balance.

Hey Mike
I decided to put back on the Exotek top deck instead the stock Xray top deck and the Exoteck top deck really works on low grip traction
it does stable the rear end much better..

Default Balance

There is no problem balancing the car . The servo is the light corner and I use pine wood derby tungsten plates they are almost the same size as the base of the servo . I also moved my speedo against the plates to shift the 60 grams forward .

Default Carpet

I haven't had a chance to run it on carpet since there's no carpet tracks in northern ca anymore. I will be running it at Vegas but that's a ways away . I will get my setup from the reedy on a PDF and post it soon as I can

I ran this setup last night on carpet, it was very different than my old Exotek '11 version, which I broke running mod..

I was running blinky mode 17.5

Running Jaco blue tires on a high traction track

I had some traction rolling issues running 2deg rear toe, neg 2 camber all around, ran both front and rear RC with 1.5 mm spacers, 50wt oil, 3.4 front spring, heavy sway bar and 1mm spacers in wheel at the front!!

Could it be this car just has too much flex?

Anyone have any suggestions?

I finished 3rd one sec behind 2nd place, top 3 cars on the same lap

I have the conversion on my car. What is the best combo of all the holders front and rear for say West Coast and how about parking lot?
