i boiled them about 30 min in the dye on the stove top. used 2 1/2 cups water and 1 cup white vinegar and 1 packet of DYLON fabric dye. i thought everyone knew this about dying nylon parts using Rit dye, we used to dye our Associated 12E parts.
we had 7 cars for our opening race today and i know there are more in the works. had a blast. USTVA RULES.

thanks
bill

Myron, I saw that you are not on the USVTA Racer's Group members list. Have you accepted the invitation yet?

Had 10 usvta in the state race here yesterday. But ended up being more of a demolition derby than a race, but was still fun.

I was thinking of dying the brushed metal looking wheels. Was hoping it would look like colorized anodized aluminum.

Your pictures aren't clear enough for me to tell if it worked or not? Does it?

We had an awesome turnout this past weekend for vta where I race. Enough for a 'D' main! It was the local tracks 10th anniversary Winterfest race, 66 total entries for an onroad night. The car was flawless all night, handled great after I broke it in the first heat, came back to win my third heat but it wasn't enough for the B, put me at the top of the C for mains. Ended up third due to a battery issue and some lackluster driving on my part. I could turn some good laps, just need to be more consistent with them. Learning and having fun!

Hey all I have been out of the VTA scene for awhile, I just bought a Novak Edge and Ballistic 25.5 combo, anyone have an opinion on what drive frequency to run? Thanks!

I recommend running 7 or 8 KHz drive frequency. If you run any higher frequency then you may have a problem with your car not being able to push off from a dead stop.

Hello dmyers, that's great to hear about a VTA Club starting up in Springfield, Missouri. Keep us posted on how many people show up to race VTA.

Welcome to VTA!
