There is a HT off of 95 at exit 130A/B but they are currently parking lot bashing. I spoke with the shop manager and they are trying to get racing going but not enough people are interested. I race in Manassas with RCRNV @ Osbourn Highschool. I told them about VTA and RCTECH to maybe spark a little more interest. I even recommended a joint point series/ AMB Lap counting system purchased I know that HT isn't into racing but it would be nice to get more people and tracks going. I love USVTA! It brought me back to on-road racing again.

Hey guys, what's a good starting final drive for the 25.5 Novak boss motor?? Track is indoor carpet, 100ft straight. Thanks

I have an older shaft drive car and I don't think I can even get my FDR that low. Due to space, I have to run small spurs (72T 48P). To get down to around 4.18 I would have to run about a 46T pinion which I don't think will fit? What are you guys doing? Hope that's not a dumb question.

I know on the TC3's some guys were taking a dremel to some of the plastic around the motor mount to get lower gearing
you can always switch over to 64p gears - I've seen them as low as 70t, so throw a bigger spur on there and you should be able to get lower then what you currently got.. I (97% certain) have a 66t 49p spur on my TC3 and I know I can get fairly low - but I don't race USVTA with my TC3

I did have to remove a bit of the webbing underneath the pinion on the TC3. Not sure what your car will be like.

When I had a TC3 I did the webbing removal, as well as a slight grinding / cutting of the motor mount (chassis side, not the actual motor cam), and in general just kept doing test fits of the motor and minor work with the dremel as needed. It's one of those things you slowly have to work on and make little adjustments until it's right. I ended up being able run any ratio I wanted w/64p. I had one Novak that was a dog and you would have to gear it in the high two's / low three's and I had no problem getting that gearing in there.

Looking for some setup/tire prep tips for running on an old asphalt parking lot that is conservatively prepped with grape soda.
The track is located at Hobbytown North in Indianapolis/Castleton. Here is a link to our most recent VTA main (we only race once a month at this location) - http://youtu.be/ABWYzytzct8?list=UU2...YCbFkFnFeNajpQ
If you've watched the video, you can tell that this section of the asphalt has seen better days. It still is in good enough condition to have fun/competitive racing though. I'm basically looking for some general setup ideas or tire prep suggestions I can share when running on low grip/bumpy asphalt.
Thanks for the help.
