I had a conversation back in 2010 at the Halloween classic about my 2011 I had just put together with a xray pro driver. He couldn't understand why they ship the car with 52 rears. He pretty much told me the only way it runs at all without binding is with 50mm rears EVEN if you did only use 1.5 degree camber. That and check your swaybars some might not be completely flat and you have to check the lift to adjust the links to get it right.

Here is a better look at the new center servo mount option .. it places the servo about 1mm off the chassis. Looks like the servo nub was never there lol.

How rigid is it, if you hold the wheels will it flex before the servo saver?

It is more rigid than I expected.

If you hold both wheels dead center between a vice and turn with the transmitter, there is a very small amount of flex and the servo saver slips.

If you are at full lock and push the wheels in the other direction .. only the servo saver slips.

As mentioned, it is pretty rigid .. surprisingly so.

We are working on DCJ's for different cars at the moment, the XRAY is at the top of the list.

Nothing fancy here, just affordable, durable DCJ's made out of 12.9 steel, like our TC6 ones.

What would the interest be like for DCJ's that cost 39.99 per pair and are fully rebuildable? Please let me know...

I just got the spec r DCJ's and they look real nice. I like the use of rings instead of the susceptible grub screws that have to be checked often. Some have had problems with spec r in the past but these v.2's look up to par.
it would be nice if you can make yours use the regular 5x10x4 bearing instead of the 5x10x3 inner bearing that the spec r's have to use.

Why do the Spec R use a narrower bearing? Is the axle too short? Isn't it the steering block that dictates the dimension of the bearing needed?

Ok, we will get the test units with retaining clips instead of set-screws. Otherwise, dimensionally, they will be identical to 52mm XRAY DCJs.
