Right on, just placed my order! Any hints on what the surprise is or do I have to wait until it arrives?

Well, our battery mounting system arrived. Pictures and pricing will be up later. It basically eliminates the need for tape. It uses 2 post stand-offs with some keyed carbon fiber tabs.

The way it is designed, it allows for the chassis to flex more evenly from side to side as the battery is not taped down onto the chassis.

As a bonus, it makes battery changes much easier.

I think it should be compatible with the TC6 standard system. I still have to test it for fitment.

Will the battery mounting system be included in the RSD6 kit?

No, it is an extra item. Otherwise the price of the RSD6 would have to jump.

We will probably offer it as a package deal though.

Is that the Awesomatix guy? I saw some a while back, don't remember if they were keyed. The idea is fantastic however, so we decided to incorporate it into our chassis design.

Yes, http://www.rctech.net/forum/10497278-post1833.html It's a good solution either way, I'm sure it will gain popularity, although there is still the possibility of a loose screw causing issues.

Could be, however loctite is your friend. I have found it to be much safer than tape. The advantage of this is that every run, if you change your battery, you check your screws. That and a little loctite is a nearly fool proof solution.

One thing that is awesome is that it gets flex nearly identical side to side. This is practically impossible with tape and velcro straps.

Yes, you can drill a hole on the cf piece that the tape loops around and it would work. We already have some replacement ones on the way

order place for the battery mount.

I'll be running my RSD6 for the first time this weekend. I'm looking forward to it as well, been awhile since I had my TC out.

Awesome Brian, I have a new set-up that is pretty killer, I'll try to post it by tonight. Not much different than the last one, except narrower rear end for better steering.
