Team Associated TC4
The only available carbon fiber upgrade kit out there that's light like Xray T4's is the Diggity Design DC4-LE kit (#dc4-001) $200 ...... No AE FT kits are available anymore, and if you can find One on ebay, it will weigh too much(150+grams overweight).....

What about the cooling duct fan kits that are made for the TC4.
Are they any good?

Would they be better than a motor mounted fan?

I have two TC4's and 40 bucks on fans.....yike's!!
The cooling duct fan kit that's made for the tc4 was designed for brushed motors only to cool the brush hoods, and can't be used effectively with brushless motors. Furthermore, the fans that come with it are too weak for any meaningful cooling, and are illegal for Racing since Roar allows only One fan per motor... I use to own the fan kit and put it aside because it also caused my radio to glitch bad.... You'll be better Off with a single fan mounted on top of your motor like the R1 wurks...

Thanks for the heads up! I'll stay away from those bad boys.
Any experience with these?

I disagree about the ducted fan setup. I run it on my VTA car and it pushes enough air past the motor to keep it cool. Haven't had any glitching issues either.
These fans look wider than 30mm, which would make them illegal, but even if they are 30mm or less, the whole unit looks too heavy. Most pros use glue to secure their fans to their cars or the thin wraparound motor mount... These castle fan systems were designed for bashers that don't mind the extra weight/size...
The last thing you want is to be buying illegal hardware... Only One fan per motor is the rule, and you'll have to follow the rules...
