Almost looks like shrink wrap, to prevent the pins from working loose and falling out....

I understand people do that, I've done it on a few sets of mine - but it looks too purdy and neat to be shrink warp

Those are sleeves that discard the use of a grub screw securing the pin attaching the dog bog to the axle. You normally put lock-tite on the grub screw... now it's not needed with the Top covers. It is marginal but it frees the joint a touch.

When and if I wear out the HUDY ECS drive shafts I will convert to the Hotomo option.

thanks, David...I understand what they are doing there...I guess I should have asked:

'who made them' and what's the part number I'd like to try them on mine

do you happen to know a part number?? I looked thru a photon manual and didn't see them listed

I have a couple of the HB POM sleeves from when I replaced the worn cups. So the HB type is bundled. Yeah, I thought I would show there is a set that's not the terrible red color.

Hiya, yep they are the TOP Axle sleeves. they come as a set of 4, with 4 axle pins to. Use those pins when building up the driveshaft as they are about .5mm longer than the HB items, and fit nice and snug.

Im going to just smiply blow them through with motor spray after tonight and relube with Pedro's wax and that will be it, they are awesome !
