BTW: I've noticed that some of the setup sheets call for blue front and silver rear springs. And then others would call for the opposite. ???
What setup did you see that had harder springs in the back? I haven't seen that yet. I have seen the one with thicker oil in the rear.

Oops!

Keeping the motor cool, especially in 19 turn and stock is very important. We gear these motors up from 6.2 all the way up to 5.7 at times. That's a lot of gear and can get the motor very hot if you don't have some sort of cooling. You look at most factory drivers cars and they'll more than likely have some kind of fan on the motor, ESC, or both.

Hi Guys,
I am thinking of using my spare car in 540 stock class (silvercan johnson /mabuchi) and was wondering if anyone knows what overall ratio gearing i should start with.

Thanks

Are there any companys out there producing a (dual) fan setup for the mi2, or is it a diy project only?

I am trying to find a part number for the main belt on Teemus car or the new EC I have down loaded a heap of photos but cant quite make out the part number I think it is a gates belt as the part number is similar to the standard one.

Thanks

I have no idea how to gear those motors. I'd start a little higher than what you'd normally gear a stock motor at and go from there. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

as far as I know just put the biggest pinion you have on it and never lift There is a group of locals here in california ( a very small group) that gets all wet in the pants when you say the word mabuchi. One thing that strikes me funny about them is that they buy the slowest motor out there then they try to make it faster If you go to the racing forum and click on the T A O B thread I think you can get some answers there.
