ah ok.

I did love my TRF shocks though ( on my Evo3 and 414)
But Schumacher shocks have always been good, well at least since CAT2000 days !

Anyone tried the vari pistons?

how's your testing going? Last weekend made me feel like Masami for a quick second (while the track had traction) The guys that are going to the Reedy race around here are spool and diff testing. I ran the spool with my own little twist on the set up and it was pretty good. I like the pull out of the corners with a spool but I think that the diff might feel a little better in the beginning and middle of the turn. So far I'm finding that the car likes to be set up sort of soft. I'm still playing with different things trying to come up with a basic set up. Good luck and we'll shoot the breeze at the nats.

going by what you say about the relative merits of spool vs diff up front, why don't you just run the front diff about a quarter turn tighter??

That will be something that I'll have to try out. Other than foams on rubber no one in my area runs a diff or a spool so getting use to both of them is going to take a little time for me. Which one do you run mostly if you don't mind me asking?

I am currently just waiting on mr postman delivering my Mi2..

But I have been running a TC3 this Winter Season.
Indoor, on Carpet with foams, JACO of course, mostly Double Pink rears with either Plaid or Double Pink/Orange up front.
I run a diff in the front, but I run it pretty tight, gives great drive out of the corners, + has the added benefit of smoothing out the entry into the turns.
Mind you, you do have to balance the rest of any setup to take advantage of your drive setup....

Thanks for the input. I have some thicker diff grease to try that has been working pretty well for some of the Yokomo driver's so I figure that I'd give it a try as well.

lazyboy The schumacher shocks are just fine.I smooth out the variable piston before building with very very fine sand paper. I ran the MI2 for the first time this past weekend and had 2 things break. (1) first the ackerman link was pulled out of one ballcup.(2)I broke a front plastic (stock) driveshaft. Both happened because of my driving. I recomend steel or Ti drive shafts for the front. The rear is good with the stock plastic shafts. This was also true with the Mission.

it is going good, I ran in Austin this last weekend, and won, lol, first time there with the car, we ran mod, so I was using a 9x1. The car was great, although in the main i took the sway bars off, BAD CHOICE. I think I am just running a bit to stiff of shock oil, at 45 and 40 with xray three holes open pistons.
