Thanks Larry. All of my focus is foam tires on carpet, but am playing around a little this summer with rubber tires.

Shoot me an e-mail for my address: [email protected]

Kevin, last weekend my brother raced my XXX-S for the first 2 heats his fast laps where in the low 17 second range. Then during the break before the 3rd qualifier we dropped a gear, he instantly found the car much faster. During the last qualifier he had several low 15 second laps. The fastest driver of the day only put down laps 0.02 sec. faster. So I don't think lack of power is the problem.

Well look who showed up!!!!

Hi Larry!!!!

If you'll PM me or call me with that asphalt setup I'll enter it into the editable version we made and then everyone can download it, then make any changes they need to their particular track.... kewl

Here's the link to the blank editable Mission setup sheet in case anyone didn't get it last time... remember, it's editable so all you have to do is select the radio buttons and type your own info in and print it!

Default thrust washers

Does anyone know the measurements for the washers in the thrust bearings? I know they are a special kind, but I want to try flat washers. My diffs get incredibly gritty after like one race... Inner and outer diameter?

I think they are 3mm x8mm. Losi ones should fit as i have used them before, but personally i think the schumacher set-up is better.

IS there a big performance difference between the S1 kit and the woven graphite kit?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

We added the Titanium Racing Ball End kit for the Schumacher mission on our website. Also available are the titanium screw kits for the mission.

Thanks

Kansasracer: there would be a small weight difference of course, with the Graphite version coming in a little lighter. But unless your running on carpet with foams(which I of course know we don't ) then you really shouldn't notice a BIG difference. The graphite chassis will certainly put more importance of getting the suspension set correctly, because it will flex less.

Personally, I don't think the differences are that big if someone is trying to save a little money by going with the S1 version.

Darkseid,

Thanks for the response. I called Schumacher and there staff there was awesome. They explained everything to me and spent about 1/2 hour talking about the mission over the phone. Much different than my beloved AE....

Are you running the S1 model? What hop ups are you using?

Thanks

Arrow Front shock tower

Hey Guys-my Mission is race ready!!! I run for PArma PSE and am running hthe new MG X20 body (soon to be released). The hood is so low (SWEEETT) on it that I had to modify the front shock tower a bit. I am wondering if you guys ever use the outside hole on the front shock tower? There is still more than enough material there to safely bolt up a shock in outside position, but maybe in a HUGE crash you might break it. I just took off about 1.5mm and that was about perfect.

Ray....Many of us around here have done this mod with no ill-effects. Very seldom do i go out past the 3rd hole on the front tower. So you should be ok.

Ray: I'm with Kevin, the first three holes are the ones that you will almost exclusivly use...

kansasracer: no, both I and CIVIC91 run the Carbon Mission. I don't use any hop ups on mine. I will probably try the ultra flex Grey belt on the rear sometime soon, but thats about it. Its fine just the way it is....for me at least. I've tried many different set ups on mine, and nearly all have worked well. Some better than others, but almost all produced good to excellent results.
