The following is a representation of my craftsmanship with a dremel.

that looks darn good....especially with a dremel...

if not to much ask...
How long did it take?
Does material still have full strength?

Thats badass Chris..

What bit did you use? I know when I was having my bulkheads milled they broke 2 bits because of how hard the aluminum is.

no. they went 5mm deep (in 6mm material ), which might be too far. the units have alot of flex (twist) in them, but fastening the c/f parts to them should firm everything up nicely. i'm sure when i rail it in vegas i'll be heading over to randy for some new ones.

i think in all they came out almost 30g lighter. how cool would these look if the pockets went all the way through? if they were 7075 we could almost get away with it. now that would be a hop-up worth paying for.

i have no idea how i'm going to get this car down to 50oz with a 19t-6cell, but fortunately, vegas gives an extra ounce, so i'll have more time to figure that out. (and there is no way i'm using any titanium in the suspension. )

I don't have any pics of mine. They are nothing special - i just set my pillar drill up and drilled from the inside. I didn't go all the way through, so from outside you can't really see!!!

Last year it was watching Numan pick up on a hooker "I scored her digits!!" that was pretty classic. Watched Flavor Flaaaavvv lose $3k in a matter of 10 minutes and walk out of the casino with one mean gangster limp. Then 5am bowling with PW and Teemu. Sleep for an hour or so and wake up for main day to watch Clint prance around in a black dress. Sexxyyy.

Here are really bad pics of my drillings (taken with phone and I forgot to change the resolution ) Managed to shave ~5g per piece, more up front, less in the rear, IIRC. These have survived Euros and couple of other race days, so considering my driving skills (or rather lack thereof), they can't be all that bad. I didn't really want to touch the area of topdeck mount, as I'd broken a deck before and figured this area would get hit a lot.
