We are finding that with the Nemesis motors you are going to want to run about around 12 degrees of timing on the motor and about 6-8 teeth smaller on the pinion due to the strength of the rotor in the motors. Ive ran it that way and you dont get the fading. Hope that helps.

I pulled it off after it began to fade and temps were around 155
I ran a full 6 minutes and temps weer around 180.
this motor doesnt like heat either... dont know many motors that do, but this one definately doesnt like it

I tried Nemesis.... I really did. Duo 2 Im coiming home!!
To much work to get this motor to do what the duo 2 does so effortlessly. I have to drop so many teeth that I no longer have adequate top end... seems to be a bottom end motor to me.
It may work for others but it didnt for me.
ya think trinity would give me a duo 2 for my nemesis ?

Nemesis Motors Rock!
I have personally found the Nemesis motor to be very fast provided you take the time to learn what they want! Do not over gear and over time the motors!
I reduced my pinion size 5 teeth on my 1/12th scale and picked up tons of speed with the motor and kept motor temps around 160 no problem (13.5 motor) The next round I added a bunch more timing on the ESC and the motor faded very quickly and temps shot up to 220+ which was completely my fault.
Reduced timing and dropped another tooth and wow back to being very fast and the high temp did not affect rotor performance.
These are not set it and forget it motors.... You have to change what you are doing to get the performance, but I honeslty feel there is more there once you learn what they want.
I also run a 17.5 in oval and have also found that dropping teeth and increasing static timing provided great results to a point but again do not overtime the motor! I was on track record pace in this class first time out with the Nemesis! The motor never faded and temps were great.
With the settings we have now in our speed contorllers it is very easy to overtime a motor and then have it overgeared as well. Sometimes it will not even heat the motor up but just kill the performance because the motor is confused! Back off your timing and rollout and learn what the motor wants.

What rollout did you find worked well in 13.5 1/12th scale?

1/12th scale rollout
I am running a small to medium indoor carpet track and have found a rollout of 58-62 to be the best using a Tekin RS speedo and running a decent amount of boost and very little if any turbo and long delay.
With my Duo2 motor I was running a rollout more like 68-72+ previously.

I would suggest the Nemesis over the Duo 1 or 2 myself. But motor performance seems to be a very subjective topic and somewhat personal preference. I have had great luck with the Nemesis motors and feel they are very strong when geared and timed correctly. What speedo are you planning to use?
