Look into the 'apparel' section...it may sounds funny but it is there.

2 years?? Are you sure its the 2.0? Only the 2.0 comes with updateable firmware. It may be the 1.0 or 1.1, which is not updateable. Still, the older versions aren't bad esc's.

Yep... although it doesn't seem to run any faster if I change it to anything else.

I am beginning to think that the timing in the ESC is faulty, permanently running it too advanced.

I have contacted the UK supplier today to see if they have any advice.

Daniel.

still have problems with mine , nothing binding at all , set gearing as per my motor (4.8-6 FDR) and its still gets extremely hot , do i really have to buy this LCD program unit to solve this ? or will i end up getting it and still get the same problem after ?

check if anyone at your track has a lcd programmer and hook it up to a pc or laptop to check.
Try changing the DRSS to a lower setting might be to aggressive for your driving style.
Cant speak for gear ratio but guys at my club are rolling out anything from 42mm to 47mm
