Dave, Mine hasnt leaked either but when I pulled it out to change the fluid in it, it is feeling pretty notchy and rough. I haven't run boosted with it either so I am not sure about this u pro diff anymore. Need to inspect it and go from there.

I just bought a Photon and will start building it this week. I also bought a BD5 Spec-R gear diff too, what size and approximately how many shims will I need for a good fit? Also what is a good starting point for the diff fluid? I will be running 17.5 no boost, rubber tire asphalt, medium size track.

If you are running it up front out doors on asphalt my understanding is 120k is a good starting point.

indoors rear I would start at 2k depending on traction outdoors on asphalt I think I would start at about 10k and adjust from there.

If your going to buy gear diffs.. I would go ahead and spend the few extra bucks and buy the Real Yokomo Gear diff.
