I never really got into brushed at all, apart from some off road when I was a kid, but it was a real chore back then, having yet to put a hand on anything electric recently, I'm looking forward to what seems ease of use and fast speeds, with any luck I'll love it as much as my Nitro.

Xray seems a highly refined product, but it's bloody expensive, in fact electric on road is all kind of expensive, it's had me questioning how much I wanted one for 6+ months, but I'm not getting much Nitro time right now, so did a little research and the Top just looks a good way to get back out.

Yip the Photon is simply the best bang for your buck at the moment, best of all it doesn't need anything other than what you get in the box to be competitive. Just get a servo saver to protect the steering bell-crank.

Had my first race with the photon and was able to TQ 17.5, just barely, but albeit to another photon, lol. I will have to test on how to free the car up, because when the track cooled because after an hour break and the sun going down, the car was very pushy in the main and I was off pace. Overall though the car has great steering and a very forgiving nature.

The Ver.2 Shock choice piston 1.0 x2 or x3 ,
bester than 1.2 x2 & x3
because had more oil friction support mid to High speed turn !

I briefly drove a Photon yesterday... the car was VERY smooth. To me, it felt like feedback from the tires was a little slack. Probably lost thru the chassis flex... but it was still easy to get around the corners. Im looking forward to spending a little more time with the car...

You had a great first outing yesterday. Everyone has been fighting a car that gets tight this season at Jackson with Solaris Hard Spec tires. I've had some luck reducing rear camber by 0.5 degree. Hope to see you running a lot more this summer under the lights.

I've got the ltd. edition kit 1/2 built now, had to file the top deck to clear the 20T pulley on one side....hmmm, inner camber mount/cf plates don't clear the bearing cams...hmmm.
With the lipo chassis, it seems very stiff, how will that affect grip I wonder? I've always found a little flex to be helpful in low grip, does this car react differently?

Use the Stiff Lipo chassis for medium to high traction carpet and the 6 cell chassis for low traction carpet and asphalt.

Yeah. That 6 cell chassis has HELLA flex. I twisted one up by hand...

Its funny to see chassis trends change over the years. It used to be you had to have the stiffest chassis possible. Now it almost the exact opposite.

absolutely Thanks kody..I own you a lunch......I forgot to tell you I did put on new set of sweep 30...love those tires.....

PS I took off those 6deg. caster .I thought it would be better for FW last weelend sunday ..Now prefer the 4deg ,it works better at the low speed steering .expectedly into the corner...
