I have some of those blue circular spacers left over from the build of my trf415msxx, can anyone tell me what they are for please?

I suspect they are to be placed over the hex's but im only guessing

which blue circular spacer?Big ones are for spacing the wheels, axle sized ones go between the bearings, and the small ones are for wheel base shims.

I have a ad in the wanted section. If anybody has an extra TRF415 MSX or MSXX car for sale, PM me or post the car in my ad in the wanted section please.

I also have a buddy who is looking for one also.

Thanks.

You may also have to worry about your axle length with this kit.

you'd def need rear uprights, different axles to get this to work on the 415. these are also the reversible arms. not the short ones. At least it appears that way from the pictures. if you wanted to use the short arms you'd still need the longer toe adjustment blocks to make it work. (read d-e, xd-xe)

They are short arms. Long arms have 'Y' braces and short arms have 'X' brances. Long rear arms also have little nubs for sway bar mounts. strange how they included everything but the rear knuckles?

I race 27T rubber-tire on a small soda prepped parking lot track with a MSX MRE and have no issues with the standard MRE setup. I do use a front one-way, so that might take some getting used to. A lot of guys recommend the front spool but I've yet to try it. Keep in mind the MRE comes with a locked center shaft...

Of course I don't know how to mess with setup, so take it for what it's worth...

i'd start with either a box setup or:

yellow springs all the way around
yellow sway bars
35wt oil
2nd hole on shock support in fornt
3rd hole on shock support in rear.
4.5-5 droop in front, 5.5-6 droop in rear
5mm ride height
sorex 36r's or rp30's

that's where i would start.

Rozzt_ina

your buying scottys car, get his setup sheet of him that he has used for tempe, he has it sorted as setup wise, very similar to what minimusprime has posted anyway
yellows all round, scotty has played with blues up front
he had ran the red sway at the rear, yellow at front
droop the same and ride height the same
one way front and centre

tyres, Tuesday nights 28's ,24's when it is in the middle of winter for 540, thats all we had been running, last Sunday i ran 36's thou as the track temp was pretty high

i do pretty well locally with my 415. the only downfall of this car is the 950 wheel bearings. if you stay on top of the car and make sure the drive train is free and there is little to no slop in the suspension/steering. this car will keep up with any of the newer cars.

you might be tempted to get a 416 or new xray. but you're talking about at most .1 second per lap difference. so you're better off saving your money and focusing on your driving imo.
