If you still have throttle control when the front end locks up I would definately look at the servo. I think that most of us are running servo's from KO, Futaba, and JR in 12th and maybe some of the Airtronics stuff in 1/10th.

So, I tried a 2s lipo rx pack and the same thing would happen. Last night, I finally got a 6v regulator (Losi LOSB9608) for the lipo rx pack and the problem was worse. I tried leaving the GTB switch off and just using the switch on the regulator...didn't work. Then I tried both switches turned on and still no luck. I then threw some AA alkaline batteries together to make a 6v pack and it worked for one 5-minute heat then the locking feeling came back in the main......uuuugggghhhh (Charlie Brown style!!)!!! So, here I am pleading for assistance. Here is my set up:

Speed Merchant Speed Spec II
Novak GTB (tried it with switch off and switch on and had same results)
Airtronics FM micro receiver
700mah 2s lipo pack with Losi LOSB9608 regulator
Mulitplex Polo Digi 4 servo (baciscally a digital HS-85MG servo)

I'm going to swap out the servo to a larger servo with more torque. Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!!

Troy.
Novak posted something about this last month. You have to cycle the esc switch on and then back off to close a relay and then run just off the Lipo/regulator.

I cycled the ESC switch after I turned on the regulator switch and the servo would still lock up. I'm pretty sure a servo change will probably cure the problem, but I appreciate your repsonse Eddie!!

great thanks.

Another question, how many packs do you guys have? I plan on running 17.5, are 2 packs enough?

What amperage do you charge it at? I have an ICE charger and use it charge my TC 4000 Lipos, I assume I should be ok with these packs with this charger.

thanks,

s

My internet is slow, so i didn't go through the other pages and I'm sure this question has been asked to Danny, but with the release of the new X-Ray, AE alternate chassis, Hot Bodies Cyclone, CEFX, etc will there be a saddle pack for the t-plate chassis, and if so when?

He has no plans to support T-Bar cars with a separate case. *shrug* For now, most T-Bar people are mounting them on one side, and putting all the electronics on the other side.

One battery is all that is needed. The ice charger will charge the battery just fine.

Yep. The standard cell spacers need to be filed down a bit to get a perfect fit. The pack is a touch longer front to back than typical cells

12th Scale / 1s / 10.5.... for anyone interested... I gave this a spin today... tons of fun. I ran a 12R5 with SMC 4000 1s Lipo, Tekin Speedo, and battery booster / 88 pinion - 35 spur - 1.90" rear tires. Full eight minutes with no drop in power, motor came off at 125 deg F and battery took 2000mAh of charge after the run.

Thumbs up

Will the single cell 4000 fit in the CRC "GENX"???????. What are you using for a booster and how do install it. I'm waiting for the Novak booster for my 4cell GTB.
