Hi !
Been busy lately - still waiting for my Tekin combo smile.gif
I went to subscribe at my local rc club today with a friend of mine and he has the same setup than I will have.
Track is asphalt, he went with rubber tyres... the car was sloppy (really) looks like a bit a drifting car in sometimes...
After that someone gave him some foam tyres (GRP 40 I assume) and even if they were already used .. the car was more manageable.
He was advised to go to 35 shore ....
It's kinda expensive here to buy foam tyres Do you know if this jaco tyres fit (especially the rear ?
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/29946
Because I cannot install "rear" tyres on my T2, the back of the wheel will touch. In fact I just need to find good "normal" foam wheels for my T2 009
Thanks a lot,
Cιdric

- Where's your ackerman set, steering links straight or more angled??
- A small change in ackerman can make a big difference. More rear droop will make the car turn in harder but, you gotta soften the front a bit from where you're at.
- top links long and high (inside) will lower roll and give you more grip on that end of the car.
One of our guys is running a oneway at the club, he's got a ton of steering so, it's there, you just gotta find it with the rest of your setup. I'm still running spool and my car has loads of steering too in fact it's lose in the rear. Can't imagine a diff turning harder than a oneway ....ever, in or out.
I'll try to post my setup, maybe it'll help.

Try 30W oil at both ends and 1.4mm & 1.2mm roll bars with 2.8 & 2.4 springs front and rear respectively.
Remember, rear roll bars help turn in as well as balancing the car.
Have you removed any of the front screws to allow flex?
If you are braking at all you could also try kick-up on the front wishbones.
Skiddins
P.S. NO-ONE runs anything other than spools with rubber tyres

I went from a car that was a little loose to a car that pushed and all I did from one day to the next was add more rear toe from 2 to 3 so I removed 1 degree back to 2 and car still pushed...I tried kick up and standard roll center and still no luck seemed like I had no front bite which really amplified when you have right to left action in chicanes...I ran some 9.6's 9.7's 9.8's and 10's one day to 11's 12's and even 13's the next nothin I seemed to do helped had to be something in the setup just cant see it......Now I am going to be running on low grip carpet so I am still searching for a good base high grip setup and low grip....I also run a 007EU in VTA and I have found a setup that will work for that car.....The funny thing is that I ran my 009 in VTA and it ran like it was on rails on high traction w/the same setup I started regular rubber w/this weekend but it didnt work....But VTA tires do have more traction and are wider......ackerman 2 at saver and outside at steering block and back on post.....I also had no center post installed 2 screws out of front bulkhead and 2 out at rear....I wiil try the lowering the front oil weight cause that could be part of the issuie slowing the weight transfer to the front..
Thanks for any and all help as always....

Conversion Kits
Is there such a thing as a conversion kit or a way of converting a 007 to a 008/009? If so what parts are needed if not does anyone have a 008 that they want to sell or trade for a Gas 1/10 kyosho RRR Evo w/motor and parts...
