Default Benetton B192 decals

I just received the very last stock of the Benetton-Ford B192 decal set from Tamiya USA. Now I just need to find the closest F103 body to complete the project.

HeliYogi asked and he shall recieve...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Topic: Track Saftey Items We Use " For the cars & your wallets "

First is genius, carpet srtips about 1' wide by 3'. What to do is cut your strips, about 4 to 5 depending on your curvature. Then you roll them, tape them. Then string a rope through, connecting them. Done. Make a few sets and YOUR track's on it's way to being F1 friendly!!!

Second, well it's second best. You get some of the ole laddy's longest towels. Same theory applies, just roll 'em, except you'll be taping multipul times down the towel instead of once like your carpet. Now you should be GOLD!!!

Now as far as a our extras, mind you these items are not cushy like the above, but just as key for safety. Masking tape, and old shop rubber matts. Those matts have be bevelled on the edges to a sharp degree. Once cut to your desired shape, spray them red, finish with wide white tape, Done. It's cool because as curbs they pick up your tyre marks as you speed over them. Next is simple masking tape for your lines. IF you don't have the luxury of a LHS w/track. Adding the starting grid w/tape is cool and looks scale.

I don't take credit for any of these tips, these are my buddies. Just givinn props where there due (brotha freak).

Heli, I hope this helps a little. I think it's cool you think my friends ideas could work were you are at. And for you to want me to spread homegrown tips will make everyone here give the long distance nod.

Thanks for the link, but I'm such a Tamiya fanatic, that I want to use a Tamiya F103 body. I was more thinking a Type M (McLaren) or Type L (Ligier). For the Type L body, I have to use a Type C (Castrol) rear wing. I've seen the original B192 wing sets on Ebay, and might go that direction as well, since they are already yellow plastic parts, and come with extra decals.

Could you tell me what kind of motor I'll need, and any other special qualifications, like weight, tire combos etc. to enter those races before I come down the mountain? I'd really like to get some expierience, and you're close enough to travel.

We'd love to have you at our track. As for special qualifications, it's pretty simple. You must run a Tamiya silver can #53689 and foam tires. Plus, there are no weight restrictions.

Check out this link for more details.

This should be the norm for our tracks, specially as we have to pay to run in them.

Cheers!

Probably the biggest turn out for a F1 race in California! Maybe even USA.

Cheers!

What a fantastic turnout! How may F1 divers do you normaly have on a regular race day?

The F1 events in So. Cal. are getting bigger with every run. We should meet in the middle and have a huge CA F1 event some time this spring!

F1 has caught on like a storm at SpeedWorld's track and Billy, the owner, plans to have more big races like this next year. We're fortunate that even our Wednesday night races average close to 20 each week.

For the Chipotle F1 Grand Prix, we had mandatory pit stops (full stops) for all three qualifiers and the 7 minute main. During the first qualifier, I missed the line twice . But, finally got it the third time. It was a BLAST!

I'm actually in Singapore at the moment, but when I'm back in Australia early next week, I'll grab out the B192 and have a look at what I can find for you

I'm certain it's a Kyosho body, but fits the 103 as well. Might have come with yellow wings too, I can't remember. It's an older body now, but might still be some lurking out there!
