What company sets the defacto standard for premounted F1 foam? Is there a company that has established themselves?

I know that the "wide" versions are a rather niche class in comparison to the rubber 190 width cars. But I kinda want to build a "no-holds-barred" car just for the fun of it. And figured a wide foam tyred monster, with classic body would be the way to go.

Zen Racing. A wide range of foams in F103 and F104 sizes. They are mounted on their own wheels which are slightly larger in diameter than standard so the foam runs at a slightly lower profile for better stability of the tyre. You can get them from TQRCRacing

Thanks!
I've used TQ several times in the past as a parts supplier.
Pit-shimizu seems to be the rubber to have set the standard to which other F1tires are compared.
I'll check Zen out for their foamies.

Serpent introduce the all-new F110 SF2 1/10th scale formula car kit. Designed by Michael Salven and David Ehrbar the car is based on a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis and it features a new front end design compared to its predecessor with 2.5mm lower carbon fibre and upper composite A-arms, adjustable ride height for both rubber and foam tyres as well as quick adjustable castor using moulded inserts. To fine-tune the steering characteristics the king pin angle is adjustable using inserts and the included independent front suspension set with tube dampers helps to smooth-out the suspension action.

The chassis battery compartment of the chassis is designed for the use with 2S shorty battery packs and both the receiver and speed controller are located on adjustable carbon fibre platforms left and right of the battery. A centre RCC-type shock absorber with aluminium body and hardened shock rod takes care of the damping duties and it mounts to the carbon fibre battery retainer with quick access thumbnuts that allow for battery changes without the need for additional tools. Other features include a pancar-type rear end with rear links, and a captured pivot ball system that connects the chassis and rear pod in a way that prevents the assembly from binding for a more efficient suspension action while a single roll damper makes for a slim chassis layout. The rear ball differential is mounted to a lightweight aluminium rear axle and it is equipped with hardened steel diff plates and class-standard Tamiya-style wheel adapters. Included with the kit comes a newly-designed composite front wing with adjustable flaps and a large 2-level rear wing with adjustable upper segment to fine-tune downforce and drag. The wings are made from a tough yet lightweight composite for improved performance, rigidity and impact resistance.

Features:
– Strong, adjustable high downforce front nylon wing
– Front suspension with strong 2.5mm lower carbon wishbones and aero type composite upper suspension arms
– Durable steering blocks with upper pivotball and kingpin spring system
– Adjustable kingpin inclination with inserts
– Adjustable ride height to suit both rubber and foam tyres
– Caster adjustment with easy access inserts in the top carbon bracket
– Aluminium servo holder and new type steering saver system with adjustable Ackermann
– Lightweight central shock RCC absorber
– Spring-loaded link-type rear suspension
– New-style bind-free central pivotball system
– Pancar style rear end with low CG aluminium/carbon powerpod
– Strong and light aluminium rear axle
– Durable and light ball-differential
– Large durable adjustable 2 level composite white rear wing
– High quality ball-bearings and fasteners
– Strong nylon body mounts with nuts
– Independent front suspension set as an optional set-up included in the kit
– Optional wide front end available for the use with foam tyres

Looks pretty good!

I was hoping Yokomo would of done something similar to their suspension.

Zen are top notch! Most guys in Japan run Zen. Soft rears and HQ fronts are the way to go for carpet.

wonder how the optional front tube damper turns out to be working, specially comparing to traditional damper. The odd thing is, the page mentions the optional parts are included in the kit but not included in the manual.
Love the look overall!
twisting bolt on the top deck was a nice touch. good to see the manufacturer open to making progress even if its small.
