I'm sure you know this already but the fastest way through a corner is slow entry and fast exit, it's all about getting the power down on the exit off the apex, entry speed helps but getting the right line and the power down as early as possible off the apex is the ticket, especially with the power to weight ratio and mental acceleration of these cars..
I'm lucky to be able to travel to an indoor UK carpet track through the winter (it is a 3 hour round trip...). The track layouts at Ardent Raceway vary, but the basic level of grip is impressively consistent. That allows me to work on handling and motor/speedo set ups.
The car is simply easier to drive fast when set up for the smoothest power delivery. An expected boost or turbo mid corner will either push it wide or break rear traction.
I'm finding it helps to have a car that turns in nice sharply, and will "rotate" through the corner.

McLaren MP4-24 chrome paint?
Currently doing up a McLaren body for my F104 Pro (soon to be X1 converted) and was wondering what paint to use to replicate the "chrome" finish. I painted the kit body with Tamiya PS-48 silver backed with black and it came out really nice but lacked the "flash" of the real thing. What would you suggest?

PS Go to the Spaz Stix site and look for Mirror Chrome paint
