Fair enough, I will take advice from Randy any day. He has a lot of knowledge of the product and has helped out me and many others with his advice.

ira-tating,
Randy Pike IS Tekin.
Randy Pike IS Tekin.
We might disagree with ira's opinion, but there's no need to slam him. Just point him in the right direction.

Play nice guys or else I'll have to use my tax return to come pay you a visit....LOL The motor limits on the website are a basic guide line to follow. Some of you have "VERY" heavy throtle fingers and that 5.5 might need to be 6.5 or higher depending on how smooth you are. Slower is faster in most cases and with the current software we have you can run a slower motor and still keep up with the the lower turns. Useable power is key

You must understand that there is no way for us or anyone else for that matter to cover every single configuration you may try to use our products in.
The RS can handle down to a 5.5 in a 2wd application. IE 1/12, 2wd offroad,etc.
If you plan on using low turn motors and the application is 4wd we reccomend the RS Pro.
Of course this also means you must have an acceptable setup in the esc.
Rememer the RS line of esc's is nearly 2 years old and we've come a long way since then. Every other company has released 2 or more "versions" of esc's now and we're still standing strong with ours without any hardware changes.
Any new proucts we release will have new specs to go along with them.
We stand behind our specs.
Moving on....
I do appreciate the "Randy is Tekin" quotes. I must however shed some light to this quote. I am ONLY a small part of what and who Tekin is. I could not perform what I do at this level without the hardwork the rest of the crew at Tekin puts in. We all work hard and I can say that with the utmost confidence.

I guess I'll run a 6.5T with a little boost on my Tekin RS I didn't really pay attention on the spec that the RS can go all the down to 5T... I guess I don't have to switch ESC from RS to SXX if I wanna run MOD.

Yes it can. You also can get one hot enough to desolder by over gearing... Over timing, too much turbo too soon....
And you always risk the speedo when that happens... If the car slows you should stop immediately every foot or lap maybe the one that takes the speedo with the motor.

Thanks for the feed back though, I can bin it with confidence.
